Chapter 17 Bigger Worries

Liam's Pov

Matthew's words were nothing but taunting. He was smug and arrogant. I couldn't wait to beat him on his ass. All the lads were pissed by his attitude and I hated how his eyes were on Harry. How he directed those words to Harry.

We all knew he was having a difficult time knowing about the prophecy and now this.

At the thought of sleep, exhaustion hit me and collectively, all of us nodded our heads. Today has been quite eventful.

With a turn of his heel and not so much of a word, Harry practically rushed out of the room.

"Check up on him, alright, boys? I don't know what Ashes and Matthew have up their sleeves," James said quietly after a minute had past. None of us could really make a move after him. He wanted space, we'd give it to him but James is right.

I'm so much more worried for him now. Matthew only grew the nerves and shivers at the thought of what they could do. It really makes me worried for all of us and I'm really starting to doubt this whole hero thing.

Why did the wisps even choose us for this?

"Training will start after breakfast in the morning. All of you will have a chance to use your powers against each other," John stepped forward with crossed arms and hard eyes. "You will not hold back against each other. You need to get use to using your powers and fighting against someone who has powers too."

Me and Zayn shared a look. This was going to be a bit harder and more intense than we thought.

"Yeah," Sébastien agreed. "This will definitely help all of you. For now, like James said, just get some sleep and we'll see how tomorrow goes and hopefully, Matthew and the others won't do anything yet."

"Alright," Louis hummed and Niall nodded along.

"Night, then, lads. We have a lot to do tomorrow," Eleanor sighed. We muttered our 'good nights' as well before we left as a group, James and the others staying back.

We exited the training area and followed back to where Eleanor led us to our rooms, the path getting easier to remember. None of us said anything which I didn't expect any conversation.

I kept an eye on Louis most of the walk who kept his eyes forward. I have no idea what he is thinking. I don't what either Harry or Louis are thinking right now but I really wanted Louis to act out on his feelings, I want both of them to stop being so blind and see that they're made for each other. And maybe Louis could help with Harry.

As we stopped at the entrance of our rooms we're staying in, Louis turned to us.

"I'll check on Harry," He said, biting his lip, glancing at the door that led to Harry's room.

"Alright," Niall muttered. "See you lads in the mornin' then."

Louis nodded and turned. He didn't knock on Harry's door but instead walked straight in, closing the door gently behind him.

"When are they going to get together?" Niall chuckled lightly, turning to me and Zayn. The question wasn't really on my mind but I knew Niall was trying to take his mind off of what had happened with the villians. I shrugged while Zayn shook his head.

"Wanna stay with us, Ni? Play a bit of fifa?" Zayn asked.

"Yeah, I'm sure Louis is gonna stay with Harry during the night, I'm guessing," I added. I didn't want Niall to feel left out since Harry and Louis had each other and I had Zayn. Sometimes I would feel bad for Niall who would third wheel all of us.
