Harry's Pov
The pain was unlike anything I've felt before. Immediately as I felt it, my eyes snapped closed. I thrashed, fighting against the metal vines as pain rocketed through my veins like lava.
I could faintly hear my screams through the pounding of my heart in my ears. My head felt like it could explode from the pain, my body feeling like it's being ripped into a million pieces.
The dark presence was with me, the only soothing thing there though it didn't ease much of anything. It merely shivered and cowered from this pain and this unexplainable power from Iris.
Finally it stopped for who knows how long. It felt like hours to me, going through the torture.
I cried out in relief, tears falling like waterfalls. I sagged heavily against the metal vines that still held me, panting through my breaths.
"Everything would just be easier if you'd submit, Child," Mala's voice was faint to my ears. I practically growled in anger, shaking.
"Fuck," I panted venomously. "All of you."
"If thats what you choose," Matthew clicked his tongue. "Iris."
I tensed, my eyes widening. There was no warning when it hit me again, even worse than before. I clenched my fists and eyes closed as tight as I could, trying to curl into myself to make the pain any less painful.
I would bear it. For all of them and for Louis. I can't let them win.
The thought actually fueled me. Anger bubbled within me along with the pain that crawled like snakes down my bones.
The dark presence felt my anger and I could feel it fading. Something else was happening. Warmth spread through the cold and the pain of the dark powers that mixed. One that brought out the other side of me and the other from Iris's violet eyes.
My eyes broke open and I clenched my jaw as I glared at the villains. The warmth overtook the pain and something broke through me.
The villains all looked at me in shock. I felt the power, this one warm and strong, very different from the dark presence that now had faded into a distant corner of my mind.
"H-how?" Iris stumbled over her words as blood started to drip from her nose. She brought up a hand to her nose and touched it gingerly, looking up at me with a flicker of fear burning through her face. I took in their fearful expressions and the realization came to me.
My power.
I grinned and let myself explode.
A white blinding light burst through the air. Shouts and crys hit the air next and the metal vines around my arms and legs snapped away, freeing me.
The light didn't blind me but it was quick to fade away as I landed on my knees. I stood quickly, my hands raised up at the villains who were crouched, shielding their eyes.
Matthew snapped up with wide eyes. "How did you do it? How can you have both?"
I felt my eyes burn, the palms of my hands glowing white with light. I focused it to the tips of fingers, hands shaking from the intensity of the power I've never wielded until now.
I didn't bother to answer, growing the balls of light at each tip of my fingers, all pointed towards the villains.
"You've made a mistake, Child," Matthew than growled.
"This was your doing," I said simply, pointing a lit finger at Iris who had glaring pale eyes. "She set it off. You have yourselves to thank."
With that, I released the balls of light, letting them fly. As they shot at the villains and grew until they burst in huge booms.
