The fresh breeze of spring caressed my cheeks creating a soothing atmosphere as the stars twinkled aware of, their beauty. I poured myself another glass of wine in my paper cup and took tiny sips as I looked at a now empty backyard. It took a lot of work and effort to get this done especially since I had to do it myself because the loving wil had an imperative meeting to attend, however, he promised to take me for dinner so why not.

I took a glance at my phone clearly indicating it was time to go home so I tossed my cup in the trash along with the empty bottle and then grabbed my purse and took a quick scan to make sure the windows are closed. When I was satisfied, I jumped into my car and drove to my apartment.

The minute I opened my door to my apartment I just felt this sudden wave of loss. I just did not want to be alone. So, I did the first thing that came into my mind : I grabbed my bag and started shoving my pyjamas and the first dress I laid my eyes on and returned to my car and drove back to my mums house. It has been a year now since her death, but I still kept everything in its exact position which hardly made me feel her absence; yet for some reason today I really missed her a lot. I missed having her around to listen to my crappy stories, to sing me off to sleep and most importantly I missed placing my head on her lap which took away every worry in the world.

I just missed her.

I took a long shower and tossed the huge shirt which I stole from Mark and jumped into my mums bed. Her room still radiated her presence that spread comfort through my entire body like a willow tree that could stretch its branches to massive lengths, this feeling was followed by a wave of sleep as I snuggled deeper into the pillow.

Beep. Beep. Beep. Beep. Beep. Beep. Beep.

My eyes opened grouchily as I swiped to the right on my phone to switch the stupid alarm off. I turned my entire body towards the ceiling and began swiping through my emails to see if anything came up but there was nothing. So, I got out of the bed and dragged my exhausted to the shower and when all that jazz was over, I got into my dress that ended by my knees and grabbed the same heels I used yesterday even though I woke up according to the alarm I was still half an hour late cause of an accident on the road so when I did reach the café everything was already sorted out. I really didn't feel like baking anything, so I decided to grab an apron and begin helping Adeline since it was Madison's day off.

After a few minutes I noticed a beautiful old couple waiting for their order to be taken. At this age to be so in love with each other was a miracle one can only hope for that type of love in the type of centenary we are living in the closet thing we can get to romance these days is flowers but then again, the type of romance we see on tv is not what we get in real life. I approached them and asked with a smile "Hi! How can I help you?" which made them look up at me with a smile. Gosh! They are so adorable. I want that.

"we will like a one apple pie and a pot of tea sweetie" they said and continued in their own world. The minute I placed their order on the tray, the little bell at the top of the door tinkled and a mysterious guy with a black leather jacket and black jeans in fact everything he was using was black. His iris were even black in colour along with his hair and when I glanced outside, I saw a motorbike and the type of people that come into a pinkish café didn't use motorbikes nor did they dress like him so what on earth was this type of dude doing in a candy café. Don't get me wrong though he was dangerously handsome. I handed the old couple their order and proceeded to collect his order. "Hi! How can I help you?" I asked him politely as I scanned him minutely.

"I will order just now" he said jittery which was extremely weird coming from this type of a person, so I stood behind the counter and continued to stare at him subtly to ensure he was not wasting my time and taking up unnecessary space, however, I notice after every few seconds his eyes flickered to Adeline which just made me let out a loud laugh in my head. He is so whipped.
