A few weeks passed from Fabian's disappearance, Lena and Camila became really good friends, Camila even visits Lena's house every other day to hang out with her. Camila helped Lena discover her love for music, and they decided to work together to keep Fabian's legacy alive.
Franny and Camila went to the studio together, and this made Lena be able to get time to visit a psychologist to help her with her depression. Bit by bit the family started to heal, but Fabian remained in their hearts as a lesson to why holding on was important. Though Natalia and Lloyd never did get over Fabian's death, they did try their best to keep providing for Lena and Franny.
But one day everything changed. Camila was visiting Lena again. They were home alone because Franny was with her parents shopping. Both girls were sitting on Lena's bed reading Fabian's songs until Camila asked: "He wrote a lot of lyrics, did he ever write the rhythm?"
"I am not sure, not in front of me anyways. If anything the notebook might be in his room." Lena replied.
Both girls got up to go search Fabian's room. They searched his closet, his dresser, and his nightstands but they couldn't find another notebook that wasn't for school. "I guess he didn't write any." Camila concluded.
"It's weird though, he used to hum the melody of each song he sang. I guess only his mind knew them." Lena stated.
As both girls were exiting the bedroom they heard a big thud. They turned around to find Fabian lying on the ground dressed in all white. Both girls looked at each other then back at Fabian, not being able to believe reality. They both ran up to him and gave him a big hug. Tears dripped from all of their faces as they reunited once again, but this time they were tears of joy.
"You're back? For good?" Camila asked, unable to hold in her excitement.
"I guess so." Fabian replied.
"And Felice?" Lena asked, hoping to hear good news.
"She is back in heaven, where she belongs." Fabian answered.
Both girls felt a little hurt to hear that Felice won't come back, but they were grateful to have Fabian back into their lives. They spent the whole afternoon asking him questions about what happened, and he answered every single question.
Fabian never realized how beautiful life can be, he missed being able to breathe, to look into the mirror, and to feel his own heartbeat. Those little wonders made him smile, he kept wondering how he could've taken them for granted in the past.
When his parents and Franny came home, Lena and Camila prepared a surprise for them. Both girls stood in front of Fabian to hide him, when his parents and Franny came through the door, Natalia asked: "Hey girls, why are you standing like that?"
Both girls smiled as they moved to the side revealing Fabian. Natalia dropped the bags she was carrying as Lloyd put his hand over his heart, Franny on the other hand came running into Fabian's hands giving him the warmest hug ever.
Natalia asked: "How?"
Camila and Lena both answered saying: "Miracles happen."
Natalia and Lloyd both went over to their son, unable to believe that he is really standing in front of them. Tears flew down their faces as they gave him a hug, Natalia put her hand over Fabian's head saying: "You're safe baby, you're safe."
Fabian started crying to his mother's words. He never imagined that he was going to get a second chance, but he did. He felt grateful to be in his parents' arms, to feel his mother's breath on his face, to feel their warmth and love. He really did take life for granted, looking at the three girls standing in front of him, he saw his future, his happiness, something he wasn't going to take for granted ever again.
