i never thought that i would come again to a school festival with my friends as i was just watching the fallen leaves once again, recently i found it as my newfound hobby besides staring into space.
that day, all of the students were free from classes since the school held an big event and everyone seems to have fun and enjoying the festival with gleeful expression on their face as i saw them from afar.
it was getting more colder than before nearing a winter season so i had to rubbed my hands together to keep me warm while standing right in front of the school gate, having a mental debate that should i just leave or going inside.
that was a hard choice for me.
before i know it, someone slapped my back quite harshly which made me grunt in slight pain before looking at you with your sneaky smile not feeling sorry at all.
you dragged me inside, sensing that i still couldn't make a choice to entering the school or just walked away at that time.
i'm not really liking the crowd so it's make me feel nervous but you keep reassuring that it will be fun since the school only hold a big event once a year for their school anniversary and it was your last time to enjoying it since you would graduate soon.
"enjoy it while you have the chance to!"
we joined into your friends as they were more people than usual as i couldn't remember seeing the girl with short brown hair, the boy with silver hair and piercing red eyes, some other girl with long black hair and pink eyes and there were more than it.
of course bam, yuri and urek would be there too, they were inseparable.
as we walked together, adventuring the whole place here and there and buying this and that, i could feel myself enjoying the festival itself as i could see another light was started to entering my life.
a smell of autumn breeze was more intoxicating than i thought it would be as the wind graze my pale skin lightly, it seems that i had flipping through another new page on the book of my life.
before i knew it, my lips curl into a small smile feeling that your hand still wrapped around my wrist unconsciously sending a pleasant warmth into my chest while the heat rushing to my cheeks in a speed motion after realizing it.
'oh look, isn't he the gloomy kid? his father got arrested for killing people. don't you feel afraid that his son might do the same?'
it was the blonder haired girl who asked the question straight to your face as her other friends were glaring dangerously, stopping us from walking as i clench my fist tightly drowning away all the giddy feeling i had earlier, replaced by a scared and mortified looks that was clearly shown on my face.
i was just about to run and letting go of your hand but instead, you intertwining your fingers with mine as you softly rubbed the back of my hand with your thumb before sending glares to the blonde.
"look rachel, you should fix your personality first before badmouthing other people, even bam was really tired of you"
i could look the said boy was flinching hearing your words. but that wasn't the things that surprised me.
"besides, who are you to judge him and his family? i don't care even if he was the child of satan, he's still my dearest friend"
