I spent most of the time on the bus sleeping but arousing frequently. As I was sleeping, Andrew couldn't talk to me which, I reckoned, made him annoyed, so he got up from beside me and went to another seat. And when I woke up for a minute during my sleep, I noticed he wasn't there. I just smiled and went back to sleep.
And the first thing I did after getting out of the bus was finding Ryan.
In the bunch of students, when I eventually found him, he was standing still aside the crowd and staring at something. I walked towards him and mumbled,
"What are you doing?"He looked at me instantly and smiled as he pointed his fingers towards a bird, drinking water from a fountain.
"Look at the feathers-"
He whispered.
"Aren't they beautiful?!"I didn't say anything. I peeked at him for a second and put my sight on the bird again. For one second, I saw his face glowing as he was smiling. Observing Ryan getting fascinated by a bird, made me feel this beautiful tenderness towards him.
"What? You won't say anything? Isn't it pretty?"
He laughed.I kept on smiling.
"Ah, that's unfair!"
Ryan slowly said as the bird flew away."What's unfair? Me not complementing the bird? Or the bird flying away?"
I chuckled."None!"
He said, peeking in the crowd.
"You look cute!"
He unexpectedly said as he scratched his head."Well-"
I tried to say but Ryan stopped me.
"Let's go join them or else ma'am will get mad."I nodded and started walking back to the group.
"And hey, I wanted to apologize for what happened on the bus-"
I let out."Oh, God! Why would apologize for that!?"
He laughed as he grabbed my hand.
"Don't be sorry! So what we couldn't sit together this time!? We'll do next time for sure! And do NOT blame yourself for anything! What you did was totally right!"
He smiled at me.
"If you told Asher- or whatever that guy's name is!"I laughed and clasped his hand tightly.
"Andrew!"He waved his other hand as if he waved Andrew away.
"Yeah, whatever! So if you told Andrew to get away from your side, he might have felt bad! But look at what you did! You were nice and kind to him! Which is the total right thing to do!"He stopped for a moment.
"Tell you what, I would feel bad if you had told him directly to get away! I hate it when people are rude to other people! We all are the same, that's the only thing most homosapiens don't understand! But you, YOU didn't say a single cruel word to Ashe- Andrew! You were nice and kind to him! And yes, I just repeated a line! But nevermind that! What I'm trying to say is you did-"
He took a deep breath and as he exhaled he said,
"A great job!"I stayed silent looking at our footsteps.
Ryan talked again,
"That was one hell of a speech, wasn't it?!"I tittered.
"I wish every single speech in the world was like yours! And-"
I hesitated for a moment.
"That...really means a ton to me...your words! It feels really good hearing them...you know what I mean?"
Looking at him, smiled.
"Thank you, Ryan!"He bowed dramatically.
"My pleasure! And just remember them...okay?"I nodded.
"Gather up, students!"
Miss Bailey called.
