A huge flower was drifting towards me, spreading a feminine scent. A charm was being created from the soft light coming from the alluring flower.
As each second passed, it came closer and closer. The closer it was coming, the more I could hear some voices. I had heard them before. And unlike any other words, they didn't just fade away, instead, they created their own place in a corner of my brain.
'I just wanted to thank Eleanor for throwing you outta her life, and thank- you, for bringing Eleanor in my life! I'll be forever grateful for that! '
'Do you even know what friendship means?!'
'I hate you, my short life could've been so much better without you!'
I could notice the charming light getting darkened
It turned into something I was familiar with, Eigengrau; the dark light that is seen in perfect darkness.
Moving slowly, it kept floating. And as the distance decreased, the voices became louder. I heard someone shouting,
"Cover your ears!"
I just ignored it, though the sound was killing me inside, making fractures in my heart. It felt like the blood in my body was boiling. My head was so pressured that it made me think that it was about to explode.
But I resisted it.
I whelved my pain into the darkness.
The flower kept moving and at one time, a mild petal of the flower touched my skin.
And it seemed like the touch of a petal washed away all the voices, and healed the cracks of my heart.
After a while, fog appeared all around me.
The darkness was washed away by a lustrous light.
I noticed the flower gradually being combined with my body.
I closed my eyes.
And when I opened them, I was inside this ethereal place which didn't seem like something unfamiliar to me, though I hadn't seen anything that fascinating before.
"Kathy..."
I heard my name being called from afar.
I looked around, hoping to see someone.
Suddenly, I caught a glimpse of a silhouette, that was walking towards me in a tranquil way.
"Who are you?"
I asked smoothly.
It didn't say anything but kept walking.
After a couple of moments, the countenance seemed to get apparent.
When it was nearer to me, I saw the face.
"Ryan?"
He nodded.
"What are you doing here?"
I asked.
"I'm here to make you realize something."
"Make me realize what?!"
He stared at me.
"Make you realize that everything is temporary."
I kept silent.
"I'm here to make you comprehend that your sorrow is themporary."
I felt like I lost my voice. I wanted to say something but I couldn't.
"It doesn't matter whether you have somebody to love you right now, or not. Kathy, life seems to be short, but it isn't."
He kept saying.
I couldn't do anything but stare.
"Though life only ends in several decades, remember that a decade is an awfully long time, Kathy."
He walked closer.
"You will have someone who is going to make you feel loved."
Coming even closer to me, he touched my hand.
I stuttered,
"Aca-"
He replied,
"Aca?"
I didn't have the strength to talk, however, I tried.
"Acatal-"
He stopped me as if he remembered something.
"Acatalepcy?!"
I nodded weakly.
He said as he held my hand,
"The impossibility to understand something?! Well, you're smarter than I thought!"
He laughed, again that blissful laughter made me smile as well.
He said,
"It's okay, I agree that somethings can't be understood properly but you gotta remember it! Nothing is permanent."
"I-"
I was going to say that I was so much grateful for what he did the other day, but he suddenly moved away from me.
"I'm sorry, I've to go."
I looked at him with question in eyes.
"It's coming for me, I have to go."
I tried to stop him, but he disappeared.
Suddenly, the charming environment around me, became dark and opaque again. Even darker than the previous time.
I started hearing those voices again.
This time, I couldn't resist it.
I closed my eyes and covered my ears as tightly as I could with both my hands.
And surprisingly, it stopped.
My head was filled with these peaceful vibes that I had never experienced before. And my body seemed to be floating.
I opened my eyes.
I was on my bed, in my room. In that exact place I threw myself while crying, after the fight with mom.
"It was a dream..."
I looked outside the window, a bird was chirping.
A European Robin.
I saw the East side of the sky getting brighter. The sun was rising.
I laid back.
Stretched my body and whispered,
"Ryan..."
