Chapter 18

I DID my best to serve this arrogant boss of mine a 3in 1 coffee.

Mabibilis ang mga hakbang ko na inabot sa kaniya ang kape.

"Here's your coffee sir." Saad ko habang takip ang ilong. He nodded while his eyes are still glued on his laptop.

"Wala na po ba kayong iuutos?" Tanong ko dahil halos mawalan na ako ng hininga.

He look up at me at kumunot ang noo.

"You still find coffee irritating?" Hindi ako kumibo dahil sa tanong nito. Anong pake niya?

Nang pakiramdam niya siguro'y hindi na ako sasagot ay pinaalis na niya ako.

I almost run towards the door and immediately went out. Bumuga ako ng hangin. I gasped a hundred of times.

I saw Dahlia looked at me and motion me to come with her pero hindi pa ako nakakalakad ng may huminto sa harap ko.

I look at her and smile.

"Good morning ma'am, ano pong pakay niyo kay sir?" Tanong ko, bilang isang sekretarya it's my duty to know kung sino-sino ang papasok sa office ni sir. Taga sala kumbaga.

Her eyes widened. Mukhang gulat na gulat ito. Natuptop niya ang kaniyang bibig.

"Roxanne?" Tanong nito at tinignan ako mula ulo hanggang paa. I tried to exam her face too. She's beautiful with her porcelain skin. Mamula-mula ang pisngi niya at maroon ay kulay ng lipstick nito. I suddenly felt ugly.

"You know me po ma'am? Yes po, I'm Mr. Garrison Jones's secretary. Do you have any appointment?" I ask and point my table.

"Can I have a minute with you? I'll ask Mr. Jones's permission first if ever you don't have appointment." I said politely. She's acting weird gulat na gulat parin ang mukha nito.

"You're Roxanne right? Roxanne Taylor. Have you totally loss your memories? You are Garry's girlfriend right? Oh my bad! Ex girlfriend." Kumunot ang noo ko dahil sa sinabi nito. Ano daw? Ex girlfriend ako ni Garry?

"Excuse me?" Hindi makapaniwala kong saad.

She smile and shake her head.

"I can't believe Garry can do this. This is a torture, you're working under his supervision. Alam ba 'to ng parents mo?" Tuluyan na akong napailing sa sinasabi ng babae. I don't know what she's talking about! Naguguluhan ako!

"Ano ba ang pinag-sasasabi mo? Ex girlfriend ako ni Garry? Baka nagkakamali ka, I only had one boyfriend and he is now my fiance." I said in a casual tone. Nakita ko ang pagtayo ni Dahlia na mukhang nahalatang nagkakasagutan kami ng babae.

I looked at her and smile.

"You have what? A fiance. Oh this is ridiculous! I'm sure alam ito ni Garry at okay lang sa kaniya na magpakasal ka? What's with him? He is devastated for how many years looking and searching for his damn damsel in distress tapos magpapakasal ka lang? I'm sure you still love Garry from the bottom of your heart like how you tried to fight for your relationship.

Ewan ko ba sa parents mo at sa obsess mong manliligaw. Politics and personal issues shouldn't lead for any harmful act and incident. Tignan mo ngayon, you totally lost your mind. I bet Ethan ang pangalan ng fiance mo?" I swallow the lump in my throat. How did she know this? Totoo ba ang mga sinasabi niya? Ethan is what?! Obsess with me?

I touch my head because of the information I got. Feeling ko mahihilo ako anytime.

"You're lying... Siguro kasabwat ka ni Garry. He still wants to manipulate me." I said and sighed.

I caress my head and look straightly at her.

"Alam mo kung manggugulo ka rin kang sa buhay ko tama na. Lahat na lang nang may kaugnayan kay Garrison pinapagulo ang isip ko."

"Kung gusto mong pasukin si Garry. Sige lang, bahala kayo." I said and walked pero agad niyang hinablot ang braso ko.

"Alam mo, you're still the Roxanne I knew. The same hard headed girl who wants everything but what she wants and believe. Alam mo ba na muntik ko ng agawin si Garry sa'yo noon? I'm an antagonist here, hahayaan mo lang ako?

I knew naguguluhan ka. I know by know you have lots of questions roaming in your mind pero hindi ako papayag na maghiwalay kayo. Damn you girl! Garry was a mess when we all thought you die from the accident. Kung may sira ulo mang gumugulo sa buhay mo hindi kami, hindi si Garry. It's your parents and Ethan. They fooled you." I gritted my teeth and get back my arms. Halos matumba ako dahil sa inis ko at sa lakas ng pagkakahablot ko.

"You're lying!" I accused.

She smirked.

"Talaga? Bakit? May naaalala ka ba sa nawala mong kahapon? Not a thing.  Not a bit. Lahat ng pinaniniwalaan mo ay nanggaling kay Ethan at sa mga magulang mo. Sure ka ba na totoo ang mga 'yan?" I blinked a couple of times when her words hit me. She's right, lahat ng alam ko, lahat ng pinaniniwalaan ko ay nanggaling kina mom, dad and Ethan. I believe them because they are my family. They can't just tell me lies!

My hand tremble in fear. What if she's telling the truth? What if Garry is really my ex? Ex nga ba? Kasi kung ex why is he still after me?

"I'm shock Garry did not tell you all of these. But you can ask your so called fiance, Roxanne. Nakakainis lang na ginive up ko si Garry para lang makalimutan mo siya." She raised her brows and look at my back. I heard someone's foot steps and in no time I felt Dahlia's hand on mine.

"Rox may problema ba dito?" I immediately shake my head and look at her.

"Wala Dahl, I'm fine. We're just talking." I said that made Dahlia calm.

"Anyway Taylor, sapat na ang binigay kong impormasyon sa'yo. Help your self girl, hindi ko panaubaya si Garry para lang saktan mo. Kainis ka ha." She said at tuluyang binuksan ang door knob. Papasok na sana siya pero muli siyang lumingon.

"Nga pala, I'm the beautiful Shanice Lopez. Alalahanin mo girl." She said and wink.

The the door shut close.
