Narrator Pov
( her pov is coming soon )She had been there for less than an hour and she was ready to leave. She loved the attention but not this much of it. To make matters worst her old friends didn't say a word it's like if the cat cut their tongue.
" Where have you been " Hermione practically yelled at Cassiopeia. How did Cassiopeia expect her to react when she left for a year and a half and came back as the Dark Lords daughter and is a whole bitch to everyone.
" Me ? oh you know just with the psychopath of my brother which i had no idea i had and with my killer father you know the usual." She said with wit. Hermione was dumbfounded how could she act like what she just said is okay. She didn't know if she should pity her or be scared of her.
The other two didn't say a word Harry looked like he was either mortified of her or wanted to kill her. Ron was simply speechless. Him and Cassiopeia were the closest never in a relationship affection way but in a brother sisterly way. He knew that the girl siting i front of him wasn't that girl he used to call a sister.
" Well nice chat but i have to go now " She said as she stood up and tried to leave that uncomfortable conversation if you could even call it that. Before she left she went up to Harry much to close for his liking. " And Potter if you don't stop looking at me like that i might just have to practice one of the spells my father taught me , maybe that will teach you not to stare" She got up and gave him one final smirk at the now petrified boy before she left to her new table.
Her father had assigned her to recruit some people that might be useful to him. Being in Slytherin was a major bonus. Everyone was so thirsty for any sort of power or resemblance of superiority that they would sell their soul to the devil if power was involved. Being chosen by the Dark Lord for them was a gift. It made them feel important and better than others by being chosen by the darkest wizard of all time.
Most students in Slytherin came from powerful rich families majority of them followed the Dark Lord or tried to get on his good side. Which is why Slytherins were viewed as the evil wizards and witches. Being on the " dark " side meant ultimate power. Not many were chosen to be given this power but the ones that did were considered lucky.
Cassiopeia thought that those people were a bunch of idiots that had no sense of knowledge. Pathetic ass licking twats is what she called them. If only they knew that her father didn't give a shit about them but only used them for his benefits. Thinking they were gonna be powerful please she thought they were practically digging their own grave.
" Hello Riddle" A voice said taking Cassiopeia out of her thoughts. She looked up and saw a girl with shoulder length black hair she had a smirk on her face as she stared directly into Cassiopeia's eyes. She was surprised by this people would usually avoid her eye contact or break it within seconds but this girl didn't seem scared.
" Hello ?" She said back more of in a question for still questioning the girl in front of her. The girl laughed at Cassiopeia bewildered face. " I'm Pansy Parkinson" The girl extended her arm for Cassiopeia to shake. She looked at the arm in front of her skeptical if she should shake it. She wasn't one to trust that was probably the one good thing she was taught while being with her father and brother. What could go wrong with making some acquaintances so she shook her hand.
Pansy was surprised that the girl had shaken her hand she would have thought she would have laughed in her face and blow her off. She smiled flashing a genuine smile. Cassiopeia remained unfazed her face remained neutral. No sign of happiness or any emotion could be found within her. She looked soul less. Pansy knew this wasn't the same Cassiopeia who would defend her friends when people would bully them. She wasn't the same girl everyone wanted to be now it looked like Cassiopeia wanted to be like the other girls but Pansy couldn't tell why she had such a drastic change.
" So what do you want or are you going to continue to stare at me " Cassiopeia said bluntly at the girl who seemed taken back by her words. She coughed clearing her throat. Cassiopeia finally saw how the girl was getting nervous. She barely knew the girl but she could read body language quite well.
" Sorry - er- i wanted to see if you needed a friend since you are - er- new to Slytherin" The girl struggled to get the words out her mouth. She was intimidated by Cassiopeia and Cass could tell. She chuckled lightly before responding, " Sure i do need someone to show me around haven't been in this hell hole for a while might need a refresher but i wouldn't call you a friend more of an acquaintance "
Shocked was an understatement of how Pansy felt. She knew the girl in front of her was going to be hard to crack but that's what made her want to be friends more. She wasn't much for friends how Cassiopeia said acquaintances is what she would call the people she hangs out with. They all went behind each other's back always tried to be better than one another.
Cassiopeia seemed different to her she genuinely wanted them to be friends and Pansy was going to get there. It would take time - a whole lot of it - but she knew one day she would be able to call Cassiopeia a friend and hopefully Cassiopeia would be able to call her the same.
A/N
I love Pansy i feel like she is a highly misunderstood character. Almost all the stories i read they make her seem so clingy and annoying but i honestly feel like she just needed validation of other people to feel somewhat good about herself. I'm talking about fanon Pansy not Canon she was literally a bitch in Canon hence why i changed the character cause i didn't want people thinking about canon Pansy. I love scarlet ( girl who played Pansy in DH) but i love Alice as Pansy.
