38 - War part 1

" If you have any knowledge of the wereabouts of mister Potter come forward now, if you are an ally on his break in you will be severely punished so step up now" Snape's voice boomed through the entire hall. Everyone didn't dare to move a muscle.

Harry Potter had came back which meant the war was here. It would happen sooner than we all wanted. We were about to risk our lives. Draco's hand slid into mine giving it a right squeeze.

Gasp spread across the room as Harry Potter walked away from the Gryffindors to the middle of the hall standing proudly. Everyone looked towards Snape and back at Potter.

" How dare you stand where he stood!" Harry yelled, " Tell them how you looked him in the eye and killed him" Gasp spread around the room as Snape took his wand out pointing in at Potter.

Before Harry could pull out his own wand McGonagall stepped in firing spells at Snape. He was able to move out the way but the spell ended up hitting the Carrows- knocking them out cold. They continued to shoot each other curses until Snape couldn't anymore. He grabbed his cloak and in one swift move he disappeared into black smoke.

Cheers and claps erupted throughout the room at McGonagall's victory. She smiled proudly but that soon fated when a high pitch scream came from the corner of the room. A first year was crouched in the corner of the hall screaming in agony. Another scream came from the other side as another first year mirrored the other one. Soon my fathers voice echoed through the room. He wanted Harry, he would leave everyone alone if we handed in Harry.

The screaming finally stopped relaxing everyone but their nerves were still unsteady. The room went quiet as everyone looked at Harry who had a look of guilt in his eyes.

" What are you waiting for, someone grab him" Elenor, the girl Draco went to the halloween ball with, yelled as she looked around for someone to grab Harry. Hermione and Ginny stood in front of Harry protecting him as long as more students. No Slytherins obviously.

" Students out of bed!, students out of bed!" The door opened revealing Filch running towards the front of the hall, if we weren't in a serious situation i would've laughed my ass off.

" They are supposed to be out of bed you idiot" McGonagall yelled at Filch who just bowed his head down in embarrassment.

" Your presence is much needed at this moment though Filch, please escort Miss Elenor along with the rest of the Slytherin house" She said looking at the Slytherins with pure distaste.

" To where" Filch smirked evilly, " The dungeons would be perfect" McGonagall said which set me off completely.

The Slytherin house looked horrified and pissed. They were being sent to the DUNGEONS when a war was here. We were the evil wizards after all we would be preferred dead.

" No, we aren't leaving" I stood my ground challenging McGonagall who looked surprise at my rebellion.

" It wasn't a question Miss Riddle" She paused as she looked like she was about to faint having to say my name, " You along with your house need to follow Mr.Filch" She pointed towards Filch who was at the door ready to punish the students.

" I said we aren't leaving which means we aren't leaving. Just because we are Slytherins doesn't me we are all evil Minerva. You are supposed to care for the well-being of your students not send them off to the fucking dungeons to let them on their own durning a war" My breath getting heavy as i felt myself getting hot.

" You and your fucking prejudice Slytherin beliefs" My hands clenched together into tight fist, " We aren't leaving" I yelled in her face, my eyes had gone completely black.

A hand rest on each side of my shoulder i looked and saw Draco and Theo. " We aren't leaving old Minerva" Theo said with power in his voice as he looked coldly into her eyes and then to the students.

Theo was a nice boy, a genuine charm. But when he was in a serious situation his whole dementor would change into Draco's. His face harden with power and superiority.

" I agree, it would be a really bad choice to send them to the dungeons, mostly now" We heard a voice say from the Ravenclaw students, Luna.

Hermione, Harry and some of the order also stood with us. A day we would never through we'd see- the Order protecting Slytherins.

" We should waste no more time, we need to protect the castle before the death eaters break in" Remus Lupin stepped in while i walked away from the hall. I wasn't on that side but in my heart i wanted to.

" Cassiopeia what's going to happen" I heard Pansy say behind me as the rest of the group follow behind me leaving the hall.

" War, wars going to happen and you need to leave, now" I didn't know if i was going to make it out alive but if i didn't make it i wanted them to. They had a life ahead of them, i didn't, my future was prison.

" Are you coming ?" Damon said next to Pansy, i shook my head no.

" No, i need to stay but you don't so leave. You all have so much to live for, i don't. I don't have a future no matter which side wins." They all looked at me with sorrow in their eyes.

" I'm not leaving you" Draco said sternly next to me, his eyes full of determination. " My parents are on that side as well i'm staying for them as well" He shrugged.

" We are all staying, we all started together we are ending together" Theo said firmly hugging Amora's shoulder.

" Promise me none of us will die" Pansy stepped in as she looked around her eyes lingering on me longer. Her pinky waiting for us to lock it with hers.

" I promise" Blaise said sticking his pinky out locking in with Pansy.

" Do i count too" Lunas soft voice made us all crack up a little. Pansy nodded which made Luna smile interlocking her pinky with theirs.

Next was Damon

Then Theo with Amora

Draco shook his head almost laughing as he interlocked it with the rest.

They all turned to look at me waiting for me. I shook my head no. I couldn't promise that because this war wouldn't end with me alive. The horcrux inside me needed to be destroyed and the only way was for me to die.

" I can't promise, i'm sorry"
