Today's the day when I travel to where Frey lives. I've gone to North Carolina many times, but each time I have always driven there with my family. This time, Nat and I are flying instead, and my mom is quite paranoid about it.

My alarm went off at about 6:00 am, and I grabbed my things and got in the car with my mom to go pick up Nat. On our way to the airport we ended up getting Starbucks with Nat being the crazy coffee enthusiast she is, and me on the other hand hating coffee. I got a tea and a croissant instead, but Nat was pretty pleased with whatever her coffee order is. Finally, we arrived at the airport.

"Do you have all your luggage? Your masks? Money? Luggage tags?" My mother was interrogating us with questions as we were exiting the car, making sure that we had everything with us. I rolled my eyes, "Yes mom." "Alright, you'll be back within a week, better be on time too, no delays. I want you home for Christmas." She stated and I nodded along, "Of course mother." I was just itching to run into the airport and get on the plane. "Alright bye love you." My mom pulled both Nat and I into a hug before letting us go. I smiled, "Love you too mom, thank you for letting me go." "Yeah hopefully I don't regret it. Now go before you miss your flight." My mother motioned us away and Nat and I ran inside the airport.

We made sure we had our masks securely on our faces, because of covid, and the safety of us and everyone around us is very important. Nat and I managed to get through all of the security measures, and then we were left waiting to board our plane. "Oh my gosh is that NotNatalia from YouTube?" A young squealing voice asked from behind us. At the sound of her name Nat turned around and so did I, there behind us was standing a young girl, probably like 11 or 12. Nat waved at her, "Hello." "OMG you're literally my idol on YouTube, can I please get a picture?" The little girl was grinning from ear to ear. "Of course." Nat responded and the girl handed me her phone to take the picture. After they took the picture, the little girl ran off excitedly and Nat looked slightly shocked. Our flight was called and I grabbed my bags to get ready to board. Nat quickly shuffled behind me and we were on our way to find our seats.

"12A, 13A, 13B, 14- aha! Here we are, seats 15A and 15B!" I read off the numbers until I found where Nat and I were seated. I sat down triumphantly, "I call window seat!" "Oh come on, that's not fair." Protested Nat and I offered, "You can have it on the way back?" Nat groaned, "Ugh fine. Deal." "Yay!" I smirked and settled into my seat. As we were being lifted in the air I took a picture for Instagram, just to tease them a little bit for fun. No one really knows that I'm going to Frey's yet.

I giggled to myself and then set my phone to airplane mode. The rest of the flight went by pretty fast because Nat put on a movie and I ended up falling asleep. I woke up in a pile of my own drool and other passengers were started to exit the plane. "Good you're up, I was gonna wake you." Nat said to me. I rubbed my eyes, "What time is it?" "3 pm. Now let's go, Frey's picking us up." She answered and that was when I remembered: I'm in North Carolina and I'm meeting Frey today!

I drowsily followed Nat off the flight and onto land again. She dragged me along as we collected our luggage, and by that time I was fully awake. Nat told me, "I got a text on my phone from Frey that she's outside in her car waiting for us." "Well then, let's go!" I ran towards the exit of the airport. Once I opened the door, I looked for Frey's car, and then I spotted it: A grey BMW. "AUTUMN!" Frey stepped out of the car and ran over to me. I engulfed her in a hug and Frey exclaimed, "NATALIA!" The three of us were in a group hug for several minutes before getting in Frey's car and driving off.

"You hungry?" Asked Frey and I nodded, "I'm starving! I haven't eaten since that croissant earlier." "Chick Fil A?" Frey suggested. Nat and I looked at each other and yelled, "YES." At the same time. Frey bought us food and we were happy. That night I got settled into the her house, and breathed in the fresh air of North Carolina. Let's just say: North Carolina air smells way better than New York.
