The next day Frey, Nat, and I were pretty tired because we had previously stayed up all night talking and binge watching Barbie movies. I'm also a pretty heavy sleeper so I woke up a lot later than the others. Frey left a note behind saying she had gone out to get groceries because we had eaten all her food last night. So I took this time to get my streaming area set up, since I figured I'd be breaking the news to my fans that Nat and I met up with Frey.
"And done!" I exclaimed to myself as I got my pc and all of its parts plugged in. Nat walked in my room, "I did that this morning, oh and Frey's back." "Sick, did she bring donuts?" I asked and Frey's voice was heard from the kitchen downstairs, "Of course I did!" "Race you down for donuts!" I grinned at Nat and ran down the stairs. "Hey that's not fair, you got a head start." Nat complained as she ran after me.
Frey handed me a donut as I caught my breath from beating Nat at our little race. After breakfast, we all got dressed and ready to go out because Frey said she had something she wanted to show us. "Can we open our eyes now?" Nat asked as Frey covered both of our eyes. I could tell that we were entering a building and Frey shushed Nat, "We're almost there... and now!" She uncovered our eyes and it took a moment for my eyes to adjust when I realized where I was, "Laser Tag!" "Yep! Now put these on." Frey threw both of us gear and put hers on.
I noticed our team color was red, which made me ask, "Wait who are we playing against." Right as I finished that sentence my armor lit up, motioning that I got hit. "Gotcha." A voice said behind me, and this voice sounded a bit too familiar. I turned around to see two older boys with smirks plastered on their faces. "Karl, Alex!" I exclaimed and they ran over to us. We all had a group hug and Nat questioned them, "Okay so I no Karl lives nearby so it doesn't surprise me that he's here, but Alex what are you doing in North Carolina?" "I'm staying with Karl for a little while and Frey knew that, so she invited us to go laser tag with you all." Alex replied and I shot him in the chest with my fake gun, "Well then, let's play."
I ducked behind one of the walls as I heard Karl's footsteps run past me. He got confused and ran in the opposite direction, but I hopped out of my spot and shot him straight in the chest. "This isn't fair!" Karl whined, "Your team has more players!" "Karl I got you!" Alex exclaimed and tried to shoot me, but I dodged it and ran off. Once I caught my breath, Frey and I regrouped. "What's the plan?" She whispered to me and I suggested, "I'm think we hide on the higher ground and shoot at them as much as we can, if we have the high ground they might not know where we're coming from." "Got it." Frey grinned and we went to opposite sides up top. I gave Frey a thumbs up and we fired.
"Nice job ladies." Nat walked up next to us as the timer went off and our team won the first game. Karl and Alex frowned at us and I laughed. We played many more rounds, and every few round we switched up teams. I was absolutely exhausted afterwards, but I think that I won overall, or at least tied for first. I did pretty well since I haven't done laser tag in like years. Oh how I love North Carolina already, this is going to be a fun week!
After laser tag we went out for ice cream at this local place Karl told us about. "Wait Alex when do you go home?" Frey asked him and he shrugged, "I think tomorrow is my last full day." "Darn." Nat frowned, "Should we maybe all stream together tomorrow?" "Oh yeah do the fans know that we're all together yet?" Karl asked and I added, "I can tweet something maybe, hinting that we are all hanging out." And then I did so.

The ice cream place was really good, and then after that we went home and I nearly fell asleep in the car. As soon as we got back to Frey's I went onto my phone and ended up falling asleep watching Wilbur and Tommy's twitch stream.
Author's Note: I'm so sorry for the late update, I'm having the worst writers block plus I'm sickkkkk. I am also trying to come up with ideas for cute moments between Autumn and Tommy since he wasn't really in this chapter, so if y'all have any recommendations of what you want to see happen in this book, I'm very open to suggestions.
