Story of Lion Man

Chapter 4

This is the fourth chapter. Hope you enjoy it. Joe Biden is now President of the United States of America! Yay!

Earlier that day...

An old Austin Metro car pulled up to a small 3 storey building on the outskirts of Bath, with "Leonez Chrmistry" written in the middle of the wall. When the Metro pulled up to the barrier entrance, and the window was lowered, the man in the booth looked surprised. "Dr Leonez?" He asked. "Yes, I'm still alive. So please let me in." The man in a light grey suit, in the car said, Dr Martin Leonez. His hair had grey considerably and there were a few wrinkles on his face. The barrier was lifted and Martin parked his car, and entered the building. "ID, please." The woman receptionist asked as he entered. "I think that will suffice." Martin said, pointing to an old picture on the wall of his younger self. The old women looked surprised also. "Oh, uh, sir... um, what are doing here?" The receptionist stuttered. "My brother, your boss, invited me." Martin answered, before he heard a voice behind him. "Martin! You made it."

Martin then turned around to see a man in a black suit, around his height with grey hair brushed to one side. "Why, if it isn't my little brother, coming to mingle with family." The man said. "Glad to see you've kept the place like I left it, Daniel." Martin answered to his younger brother. "Thank you. Oh, and, uh... sorry about your wife." Daniel said, not an ounce of sympathy in voice. "It's just a divorce, Dan. She's still alive. Look, let's just cut to the chase, okay? Why did you invite me?" Martin said, as if he was bored. Daniel, or Dan, then grinned in a mishevious way, before turning around to face a balding man in a dark grey suit standing close to the wall, and Dan then turned back to face Martin. "Big new unveiling thing. Something that will make your legacy known. That's Mr Fredson, my other special guest. From the Ministery of Defense." Dan said to Martin, before tuning around and walked in between to two men. "Sir, we can begin." He said, before heading the two men through the building towards a lab.

The three men then stepped inside the lab, which was empty, save for a video screen held on the wall they were facing, and on one of the work tales, sat a small grey metal Cube box. Dan, in the lead, turned to the men. "Before we start, I'd like you to meet our other guest, Mr Fredson. This company's founder, and my own dear brother, Dr Martin Leonez." Dan announced. Martin and Fredson both turned their heads and looked at each other. They then turned to face Dan, who started talking. "A few years ago, when I took over this company from my brother, I immediately began replicating a serum he and I developed years ago that could amplify physical strength and at the same time increasing the rate a persons wounds heal, along with changing the outside of the entire human body. While this strange but amazing idea remained my brother's secret for most of his life... but just imagine... a soldier with the strength and body of an animal." Dan explained, before he brought a remote out of his right pocket, turned around and switched on the screen and stepped aside. The video on the screen opened with the word "CLASSIFIED", before showing what looked like Russian soldiers begin cut, stabbed, torn to bit, by a man, which had a dark silhouette in the video, who had a large amount of pointy hair all around his head. The video then paused when the man turned to the left, revealing the front of an animals muzzle (front of its head).

 "An animal- Man. I know what your thinking, Mr Fredson. A footage made by teenagers, propaganda, false stories to scare our enemies." Dan explain from where he stood, pointing to Fredson, who had a humour out grin on his face. "Well, I can tell you now, it's not a false story, as I have the proof." Dan said, before he walked over to the table with the grey box, pulled its top open with his left hand, placed the top on the table, and pulled out a small vial with an orange-yellow liquid. "Sir, I am proud to present to you the future of Combat, the Lion serum mark 2! Imagine... soldiers that could heal gunshot wounds. Imagine, soldiers being able to endure longer distances without rest. Imagine soldiers that could kill their enemies with their bare hands with a gun. Well, this serum does it all." Dan continued, twirling the vial in his hand. He looked to see Martin's eyes had widened. 

They then heard Mr Fredson clearing his throat. "Mr Leonez, I don't think the British taxpayer will be happy to pay for something that could be used against them, not to mention something dangerous." He said. Dan's eyes narrowed, "What you don't beileve me? Or are you not intrigued?" Dan asked him. "No, I'm intrigued. I'm also concerned. Do you wonder what our enemies could do with this serum? And more to the point, does it actually work?" Fredson asked. "Well, we did tests on rats and mice, and their strength doubled. We haven't tested it on human subjects yet, but we can arrange for them in the coming weeks." Dan answered. "Weeks? I don't think my superiors in Whitehall would want to know that their funding something that isn't fully tested, and could be dangerous. I think you've brought this event up too quickly. I need more time to think." Fredson said, before walking out the lab. Dan then followed, but not before Martin grabbed his right forearms with his left hand. "Daniel, there's a reason I buried that secret." Martin whispered, his face looking stern. "And I know them. We could have done that and this together, Martin. You and me." Daniel whispered., before heading out of the Lab.

Once the door had closed, Martin got out his mobile phone. He pressed a number on the screen and held it up to his ears. "It's me. It's true, he's working on the formula. We have to find a new host. No, I don't know anyone who is worthy, but I'm sure a someone will turn up." He said.

And that's the fourth chapter done, and it's the longest I've done so far. I hope the names are all right. Like I said, there are some similarities to "Ant-Man"(2015). For the voice of Daniel, I decided on Jeremy Irons. I don't know a lot of him and his films, except for being Scar in the "Lion King" (1994), (which is the main reason why, and there will be some similarities to him and Daniel), and Alfred Pennyworth in "Justice League" and "Batman vs Superman". And I've decided that Liam Neeson would voice Martin. Please leave a comment.
