This is the twenty ninth chapter. Hope you enjoy it. Avengers Endgame starts now! Awesome film, by the way.

5 years later, 2023...

Ryan laid absolutely still in the hospital bed. A shadow then appradred over his skin. It was Kaiden. He wore a black shirt and khaki long trousers, had KFC chicken juice all around his mouth, had gained a little bit of weight since his stomach was bulging out slightly, and had a stubble beard. "Hey, pal. How are you doing?" He asked the silent Ryan. He then sighted in annoyance. "Come on, Ryan, you gotta wake up soon! It's been 5 years, you've gotta wake up at some point! You need to know what's to the world. Especially Thanos. He wiped out both our families. Hard to think it's been 5 years since." He added, then signed, completely unaware Ryan's fingers were twitching and on the monitor his heartbeat was rising. "Well, your in good hands here. Might as well get going now. Got some supplies to sort." Kaiden said, just before Ryan then moved in a flash his upper body, letting out a scream. Kaiden screamed also, out of shock, his eyes wide and mouth gaping open. "You're.-you're-you're-you're awake?" Kaiden stammered in shock. He then sprinted over to the door and opened it. "He's awake! Somebody, he's awake!" He yelled into the corridor.

A few minutes later, Kaiden was talking to a doctor. Since he'd told the doctors he was a "friend", and the fact that his family had turned to dust, they'd allowed him to take responsibility for Ryan. "So, the good news is he's recovering very rapidly. Much faster than we expected." The doctor explained. "That's great. Uh, do you think he can be discharged soon?" Kaiden asked with a smile. That could be an effect of the Luon Serum." He thought in his head. "Well, we'll know after a few more tests. But, uh, you mustn't tell him anything about... his family and Thanos just yet. He could be in a delicate mental state. The slightest bit of extreme shock or excitement could give him a heart attack." The doctor warned. Kaiden nodded. Then his eyes widened. "Oh, no." He said softly. "What?" The Doctor asked, raising an eyebrow. "There are some newspaper clippings on the side which describe what's happened the last 5 years." Kaiden answered before he then ran back to Ryan's room. He thruster open the door and saw Ryan was sitting upright in his bed reading some of the cut out clippings. He looked up at Kaiden with a face full of shock. "What happened?" He asked, his voice full of shock.

Kaiden then explained what he knew had happened, Ryan taking it all in, a lot better than the doctors feared. But that did'nt mean he was upset. His whole family was gone! And after some more tests, Ryan was discharged and Kaiden took him back to Ryan's house, which had a tent in front full of foot and essentials. Strangely, he'd found the place exactly as it was, though it was dusty with cobwebs in some places. Ryan and Kaiden sat down at the end of the kitchen table, facing each other, Ryan holding a glass of water with both hands on it. "So... how did you get here?" Ryan asked after a few seconds of silence. "When Jess and Hannah turned to dust, I came to Bath and to your house, to try to find you, only to find you were in hospital in a coma and that your mother sister had suffered the same fate as half the planet. So I took over your house. And I've spent the also few years doing the locals a service, by providing them with what they need. It was extremely useful during the chaos and confusion of the first few months." Kaiden answered sadly. Ryan looked down at the table in silence for a while, taking sip of water. He then realised something as he looked up at Kaiden again. "The Avengers." Ryan said. "What?" Kaiden asked, tilting his head. "The Avengers. Are any of them still around?" Ryan asked urgently. "I think so, though I'm not entirely sure. Why?" Kaiden replied, before Ryan then got up on his feet and ran upstairs into his bedroom, looked under his dusty bed and saw a dusty box underneath it. "Oh, thank God, it's still here." He thought in his head as he pulled it out from under his bed and opened it, revealing his Lion Man suit and a few Lion Setum vials.

Sometime later, Avengers Compound, Upstate New York...

Having gotten on the first plane from Heathrow airport, he'd arrived in New York and had a taxi drive him to the Avengers Compound. The taxi stopped outside the gate, where a brown van was being park. Ryan opened the door and got out, handing the driver most of the US Dollars he had exchanged, and approached the van as a man got out of the door. The man looked familiar to Ryan, and a second later, he remembered who it was, Scott Lang, AKA Ant Man, whom he'd met in Leipzig! "Scott?" Ryan asked, slightly jet lagged, though he already knew him, as the man looked towards him. "Furry kid?" Lang asked, confused. "Yeah, it's me. You here to find the Avengers to, eh?" Ryan answered. "Yeah." Lang nodded before he looked upwards at a security camera. "Oh! Hi. Hi! Is anyone home? This is Scott Lang. We met a few years ago, at the airport? In Germany? I got really big, and I had my mask on.  You wouldn't recognise me. Ant-Man? Ant-man, I know you know that. I need to talk to you guys." Lang shouted up to the camera, while Ryan stood besides him, waving his hands towards the camera.

A few minutes later, Ryan and Lang were let into the Compount by Rogers and Romanoff. Scott was pacing up and down around the room, muttering to himself, while Ryan, being jet-lagged and thirsty, was getting himself a bit of water. "Scott? You all right?" Rogers asked, getting Lang's attention. "Yeah, I'm fine. Have any of you studies Quantum Physics?" Scott asked the others. Ryan shook his head in response. "Only to make conversation." Romanoff answered. "Allright. So...5 years ago, right before Thanos, I was in a place called the quantum realm. The Quantum Realm is like its own microscopic universe. To get in there, you have to be incredibly small. Hope, she's my...she was my...she was supposed to pull me out. And then Thanos happened, and I got stuck in there." Lang explained. "Uh, how exactly did you get out now?" Ryan asked, tilting his head. "A rat crawled over the controls and activated the machinery, which got me out." Lang answered. "I'm sorry. That must have been a very long 5 years." Romanoff spoke. "Yeah, but that's just it. For me, it was like 5 hours." Scott replied, which confused Ryan. "See, the rules of the Quantum Realm aren't like they are up here. Everything is unpredictable. Is that anybody's sandwich? I am starving." Lang  spoke as he went over to the table and ate a peanut butter sandwich. "Scott, what are you talking about?" Rogers asked. "What I'm saying is, time works differently in the Quantum Realm. The only problem is, right now, we don't have a way to navigate it. But what if we did? I can't stop think about it. What if, somehow we could control the chaos, and we could navigate it? What if there was a way to enter to Quantum Realm at a certain point in time, but then exit at another point in time? Like... like before Thanos." Lang continued. "Wait, are you talking about a time machine?" Rogers asked. "No. No, of course not. No, not a time machine. It's more like a...yeah, a time machine. I know it's crazy. But I can't stop thinking about it. There gotta be some way. There's gotta be... some...w... it's crazy." Scott answered. "Scott, I get emails from a Raccoon, so nothing sounds crazy anymore." Romanoff said back. "Wait, a what?" Ryan asked, turning his head to look at her, confused. "So who do we talk to about this?" Lang asked, as it was pretty obvious they needed help to do what he was suggesting. Ryan looked downwards and had a thought. "I can think of one person. And I think you guys know who I'm thinking off. By the way, is he still alive?" Ryan asked the others.

And that's the twenty ninth chapter. Hope you enjoyed it. Sorry if it was too short. I'll try and get the next chapter out quickly this week because me and my family are going on holiday for a few weeks. Not abroad, but to the Lake District in the North of England.
