This is the thirty sixth and final chapter! Hope you've enjoyed this story.
Ryan and Jess have been flown back to Britain in a jet from Wakanda. It landed outside Bath, where they continued on foot. Ryan went straight to his house, (Kaiden had called saying he was back with Hannah, since Ryan's family were back) where he was met with a big, love filled hug from Molly and Heather the moment he opened the door. Jess, meanwhile went to where Kaiden had agreed to meet up with her and her mother. She received as much love and welcome upon returning as Ryan did.
A few days later...
Now they were at Stark's house, for Tony's funeral. Ryan and Jess had brought with them Heather, Hannah, Molly, and Kaiden along, all of them wearing balck clothes. Though the others hadn't known Stark as much as Ryan had, he had insisted on them coming, to pay their respects for the man who gave his life so that everybody could be brought back. They stood outside the house along with all the other guests. Then they watched as Stark's wife, Pepper and Morgan come out, Pepper holding in her right hands a wreath of flowers. As they walked past the Mcranson's and Leonez's, Ryan noticed that in the centre of the wreath was what looked like a small old arc reactor, surrounded by a bit of metal which had on it: "PROOF THAT TONY STARK HAS A HEART."
The two then walked out onto the small pier, going to the edge, and set the wreath adrift. Silence filled the place, in memory and respect for their fallen saviour. The funeral lasted for a while, but nobody was bothered, as nobody was in a rush nor had any palace else to be. Soon they all got to talking amongst each other, often talking about Stark and their momoryd and experiences with him.
Later at sunset, Ryan and Jess and Kaiden (who had sunglasses over his eyes) were walking by the water (Ryan by the water, Jess on his left, and Kaiden on her left). Ryan had just finished telling them all he had done with the Avengers since waking up. "Wow. So you really did go through gigantic lengths to bring everybody back." Kaiden spoke, looking rightwards at Ryan. "Yeah, we did.... though at great loss." Ryan replied, his face pointing downwards at the ground, referring to Stark and Romanoff. "It wasn't in vain, right?" Jess asked. "No, definitely not." Ryan said immediately, looking upwards and then leftwards at her. "Families are reunited, friends back together again." Ryan said back. He then decided to change the subject, so he stopped in his tracks, which made the other two stop also. "Say, Jess. Now that your back, I've been wanting to ask you something ever since we returned home." Ryan said to her before he moved his head over to Jess's right ear. "Will you be my girlfriend?" He whispered, seeing Jess's eyes widen and mouth gap open as he moved his head back. He also could see a hopeful smile Form on Kaiden's face.
Silence filled the area for a few moments. "Yes!" Jess cried, breaking the silence before she embraced Ryan. Kaiden's hopeful smile grew into a big and happy one. Once out of the hug, Jess then moved her lips close to Ryans lips, so he started moving his towards her and then they met in the middle and kissed. The kiss last for a couple of seconds before they moved their lips back, making complete eye contact with each other silently. The silence was then broken by the sound of Kaiden clearing his throat. They both looked at him (Jess turning around) "Uh... sorry to ruin your beautiful moment, but, in case you haven't noticed the sun's going down. We have to be back at the cars before dark. Remember, our plane leave soon." Kaiden said, pointing with his left hand in the direction of the setting sun. They had been brought over to the United States for the funeral by another Wakandan plane, who had agreed to take them back after dark. "All rigth, let's go." Ryan nodded. He then turned leftwards and began walking back to the house, Jess and Kaiden started walking a second later and then got besides him. Once Jess was besides him, Ryan moved himself up close to her, placed his right hand over her right shoulder, which she accepted before leaning her head downwards to the right. He then did the same thing, moving his head downs to the left. They kept in this position for a long as they could, enjoying this beautiful moment.
THE END.
And that's the end of this story! Hope you enjoyed it. Hope it was a good ending and that's it's been a good story, or a good run. I have a few thoughts in my head about doing something about Ryan in "Spider-Man: Far from home", but I haven't fully decided yet. And I'll be going back to college (the British version) in the next few weeks, and I don't know how busy I'll be. So that's it for Lion-Man. I'll now be focusing on my second story "Fantastic Four (Five) x male reader".
