This is the tenth chapter. Huh! Ten chapters! Hope you enjoy it.

Ryan and Martin where still in Lion form, as he he and Jessica both held an exhausted Martin's arms around their shoulders as they carried him down the hill. Once at the bottom, Martin gestured to place them down on a tree stump. "Jessica. Go back home." Martin ordered her. Jess looked at Ryan, who nodded slightly, before she turned around and headed towards the edge of the forest. Once she was out of earshot, Martin gestured with his furry right hand to a large tree brand on the ground to his right. Ryan looked at it, before he walked over to it slowly and sat down on it, his head pointed down.

"You deliberately did that, didn't you?" Martin asked sternly. "Yes, I did. Criminals have been known to making deals in these woods, even in daylight. " Ryan answered nervously. "You could have been killed. And what's worse, you put Jessica in danger." Martin continued. "I just wanted her to bear witness to me facing those crooks." Ryan explained. Do you understand that what you did was totally reckless, irresponsible and dangerous? You jeopardised everything we were doing!" Martin yelled. Hearing this made Ryan hung his head down in shame. "I just wanted to prove to you guys, and to myself, that I could do it. That I could brave, do what you did." Ryan explained. "There are other ways of proving yourself other than going off and fighting the first criminals you find. I only did what I did when I had to, when there was no other choice." Martin said, a bit less aggressive. "But you were always so fearless." Ryan said, having been told some of Martin's stories of his missions. "I was afraid sometimes. And I was scared today. I thought I might lose you and my daughter. Sometimes even hero's get scared." Martin admitted. "But you know what? I bet those cri I also were more scared, facing off two Lion like men." Ryan smirked, now looking at Martin. "That's because they didn't know better than to mess with us." Martin said as he turned his head right to look at Ryan. "Master? I'm sorry." Ryan apologised. "The best thing you could take from this is a lesson about recklessness, and learn from your mistakes." Martin said calmly, before he touched his left index finger on Ryan's Lion nose, making them both chuckle a bit.

"Ryan, let me tell you something my lay preacher father told me. He was very religious and spiritual. He told he that, looking at the stars in a night sky, those that came before us look down on us from those stars. So, whenever you feel alone, remember that they will always be there to guide you." Martin explained, before Ryan then scoffed. Martin smirked a bit. "I thought you'd do that. Most people don't believe that nowadays. Especially since the guy with the hammer come from space." Martin said, referring to Thor. "Just to mention it, hoe about the fact that I fought an Avenger and made it back alive?" Ryan asked. "Well, it's a starter. But let's not dwell on that. Let's focus on the now and the plan, eh, Ryan? Go back to the house. I'll be back later." Martin said. Ryan nodded in response, as Martin handed him a red vial, which he drank, and "De-Lionized", or turned back to his Human form, before he left Martin where he saw and walked away.

Later that night...

The crooks, Joseph, Pete, their buyers and their remaining bodyguards stood around a black Land Rover Discovery by the road side. Pete, sitting along with Jospeh on the left hand side bonnet, on Joseph's left, held a packet of ice against his right forehead with his right hand. The first buyer came up to them. "That does it. I'm withdrawing our offer. That... Lion thing... guy might have reported us to the police. And don't forget the Falcon! He saw us all! We could all be wanted! We'll get arrested! You know who I answer to, and they won't like it when I report back to them without the drugs!" He ranted as they heard a voice come from the bushes behind them. "Why deal with drugs when you and your friends could have so much more?" The voice asked, making them all look into the bushes. A man stepped out of the bushes, wearing black clothes, grey hair brushed to one side, but due to the darkness it was hard to see the rest of his face. Pete and Jospeh then pulled out their guns and aimed them at the man. The buyer moved his left hand up slightly. "Who are you and what do you want?" He asked the mysterious man.

"You men were today attacked by a man who looked like a Lion. Well, then, let's say we have a common enemy. I have a little... proposition" The man said, stepping closer to them, revealed to be Daniel Leonez. The buyer looked at Jospeh and Pete, then nodded at then, and then they moved their guns down. The buyer then faced Dan again. "We're listening." He said. "Why you and your masters hide, when with me, you could rule the world?" Daniel asked. "What could you possibly give us?" Jospeh asked as Dan held up in his left a orange and yellow vial. "The gift. The gift which that Lion man had. That created him. The key to an army of unstoppable Lion soldiers. I want you to contact your superiors, and persuade them to accept my gift." Dan explained, putting the vial back in his pocket. "The Avengers will be a problem. Not to mention that Lion man." The buyer said back. "That 'Lion Man' is yesterday's news. A weak old man. The Avengers are too busy doing things like making cities fall from the sky. This is a one time offer, gentlemen, and may be the only key you have to achieving your aims, as well as the thing thing keeping you from jail. I suggest you and your superiors say yes." Dan stated. "I'll have to look into this idea, as well as talk to my superiors, but what about the 'old' Lion man? You do know bullets don't work on him, rigth?" The buyer asked. "Leave that to me." Dan answered. "We're in. Heard earlier the Police has confiscated all our drugs, which we spent six months getting. That was all worth enough to buy a brand new McLaren." Joseph said, Pete nodding. Dan then handed the buyer a folded piece of paper. "Call me as soon as your superiors make their decision." He said as the buyer took it, Daniel then leaned his head towards the buyers head and whispered something to him, before he moved he turned around and headed back into the bushes.

A few minutes later, Dan got his phone out. "Dr Mcranson? It's Dan. Listen, I many have found potential buyer. I want everything ready for mass production right away. Yeah, I know I said 'potential', but I really think they'll take the deal, so I wouldn't want to keep them waiting. Good, you'll get started first thing tomorrow? Great. I'll call you if I hear anything. Bye." Daniel said into his phone, to Dr Hannah Mcranson, Ryan's mother! Despite being worried sick about Ryan since he ran away from home, she still had a job to do, though she had conflicted feelings about it.

And that's the tenth chapter. Hope you enjoyed it. By the way, Dan doesn't know about Ryan yet. The next chapter will be out soon, and it will be a MAJOR turn in the story.
