This is the twenty seventh chapter. Hope you enjoy it.
Business in Glasgow was continuing as normal. Except one thing, for as at the bottom of Glasgow Tower (the tallest building in Scotland), the G20 Summit was opening, and the British Prime Minister was delivering his address, welcoming the other 19 heads of state. Everything was going perfectly. That was until, suddenly, when something emerged from the River Clyde. The creature emerged from the river and, moving to the left hand river side and using its feet, it brought its body up out of the water, and set itself in the middle of the road. People that had been walking peacefully on the riverside, were now running away from the creature, also scrambling out of their cars. The leaders of the G20 were being rushed inside the tower to safety by security. Only one person stood before the creature and didn't flee. Zahir. She was grinning wildly and had both her arms held out. The creature looked down to see her, then moved its neck down besides her. She grabbed the top of the neck with both hands (both arms held up), pulled her body up, and moved her right leg over the over side, her left leg staying in position. The creatures neck rose upwards as it's master held on, looked ahead, and roared. It then moved towards the nearest row of buildings walked through the brick and mortar, Hugh crashing sounds heard as it came out the other side, and moved down the nearest road, people again running and screaming, and began stomping its feet down on the cars. Its right leg movements caused a vehicle to fall over, which was a truck carrying metals. And it's left leg caused a water main up ahead to burst, a large column of water flowing and and falling around the area.
The creatures rampage was then halted by the sound of a Lion's roar, followed by another. The Roars stopped the creature in its tracks, which made it turn around to see Ryan and Jess (on Ryan's left) standing in the end of the street. "How many times have people tried to kill the same bloody teenagers?" Zahir muttered to herself. Sh then saw Kaiden then run to Jess's left, a vicious look on his face. "Kaiden. That's it, my boy. Get them!" She cried down, not know he's turned. "You will not hurt them. Not while I'm here." Kaiden snarled, looking rigthwards at Jess, who nodded. "You're even weaker than I thought! What would your father say?" Zahir added. "I want nothing more TO DO WITH HIM!" Kaiden growled in reply. "Oh, enough chatting! Let's just fight!" Ryan rolled his eyes. The creature then roared as Jess and Kaiden then charged forwards towards it. But it then turned a bit to its left and swished its tail towards them, which struck them and threw them both back into a shop, breaking its main front glass window. Ryan, still standing where he was, watched them get kicked back, and then looked around the area of the figth. His sight then saw the turned down truck, and he saw the metal it was carrying, and noticed on a piece of paper nearby mentioning its name: Sodium. He then remembered something he'd learned during house arrest, and school, and looked at the water emerging from the broken main, a lightbulb lighting up in his mind. He then looked at Zahir and the creature, who stared towards where Jess and Kaiden had been thrown. "Over here, arsehole!" He shouted, the creature turning its head to face him.
The creature snarled as Ryan closed his eyes and calmed himself, Zahir's mockly cackle inaudible in his ears. Opening his eyes, he then road at the creature, the sonic waves pushing it backwards, cracking the road as it moved, right on top of the metal cargo. His plan working, Ryan then stopped. "Is that the best you can do? A little Roar?" Zahir taunted. "Time for your little lesson, Miss Nadra. Simple online chemistry. What happens to Sodium when it touches water?" Ryan asked, before he ran to the rear of the emerging water, and then roared at it. The sonic waves instantly pushed the water forwards onto the Sodium, which, after the first chunks have had a few sprinkles of exposure, it exploded, the rest going up with it a second later. The creature and Zahir roared/screamed in pain as the flames engulfed them both. Flames and des se smoke filled the air for the next few moments, before it slowly started to clear. Jess and Kaiden both got up on their feet behind the shop main front window and looked outside as the smoke cleared. The first thing they could see was the creatures body, lying on the ground in the area of the explosion. They could clearly see it was wounded, as it had a massive hole its skin above its left leg, bones and blood noticeable as clear as day. They creature then slowly moved its head up just a foot of the ground, and its mouth slowly opened its mouth and let out a pained growl, then let out another one, this one more pain filled and quieter than the last one. The growl then stopped moments before the creatures head the dropped down onto the ground, motionless. It was dead.
Ryan panted as he then moved towards the creatures carcass and looked around for Zahir. He moved down the creatures left hand side, came upon its left hind leg, and found a charred body, which distinctly looked like a Lioness's body. He instantly knew it was Zahir. He stared down at the body, before turning around to see Jess and Kaiden walking toward him, then they stopped. "She's dead." Ryan announced, though Kaiden didn't seem to be very shocked. Ryan looked leftwards down the road to see Hannah and the twins, standing away from a distance. He then looked back at Jess and Kaiden when he heard her chuckling. "Of all the ways she could have met her death, it was a fiery one. That's it, Ryan, you did it! Mission accomplished!" She cried victoriously, Ryan and Kaiden smirking as well. "Oh, god, I've just remembered! My house arrest expires tonight! I've gotta get home!" Ryan yelled with realisation. "Oh, relax, boy. We'll get you home with plenty of time to spare." Hannah said from where she stood. "Let's get out of here before the police show up." Kaiden spoke before then three teens then walked over to the others. They all joined up and began to walk down the road together. Their quiet moment was then stopped when they heard a voice. "You killed my mother! And you, Kaiden, betrayed your family!" The voice yelled out. They all turned around to see who it was. Nathan. "Finally! A chance to prove myself... by avenging mother!" Nathan wildly snarled, before doing his cackle. Kaiden rolled his eyes. "I always hated your cackle, by the way, "brother"." Kaiden said as he then found a knife on the ground below him and picked it up. He took a step towards Nathan before Ryan moved in the way of him. "No, no! Wait! We're better than that, better than Zahir, better than him! No more violence or fighting! No more bloodshed! We'll let karma deal with him." Ryan said, gesturing to Nathan who kept cackling, and then started stepping forwards. The cackling/stepping was then stopped when the sounds of two gunshots filled their ears and they all saw Nathan with bloodied bullet holes in his chest, before he felt to the ground dead.
Ryan, Jess, Kaiden, and Hannah all looked rightwards, to see the twins were holding up their rifles, which had smoke coming from the muzzles. Mark moved his rifle down and blew the smoke away from the muzzle while Tom looked at the others. "What? He was irritating us." Tom spoke. Silence again filled the area before Ryan broke it. "Come on, guys. Let's go home. Or to Bath. You know what I mean." He said, making the others chuckle as they resumed their walk away from the scene.
And that's the twenty-seventh chapter. Hope you enjoyed it. Ryan's house arrest ends next chapter. By the way, if you don't know your science, if you put a small bit of Sodium into a bowl or a jar of water, it makes a small explosion. That bit was kind of inspired by the battle in "Fantastic Four" (2005), and funny fact, Chris Evans, who played Captain America, played Johnny Storm/Human Torch in that movie.
