Robin stiffened herself as Thorn practically barrelled into her, wrapping his arms around her neck in a tight hug, Robin wrapping her good arm around his own with her large wings wrapping around his back. "You're okay! You're actually okay! I was so worried about you! I thought I might never see you again!" He exclaimed happily as he held her close.
"Nothing can keep me locked up forever!" She smiled brightly, showing off her teeth with the action.
"Locked up!?" Thorn's eyes widened as he looked at her before he noticed her wrapped up wrist. "What happened to your wrist?!"
"It got broken when I was first caught, I was slammed into the ground." The hybrid dragonet explained to her worried LeafWing friend who's worried green gaze seemed to be locked into her wrist as he carefully felt his talons over the soft silk. "But I should be able to use it soon! In another week or two!"
Before Thorn or Robin could continue their reunion, Robin caught sight of some LeafWing soldiers moving closer towards Lychee and Sunflower, their king hooked spears pointed towards them.
The unconscious HiveWing had been moved off of Lychee's back and onto the muddy jungle floor, the small dew covered blades of grass seemingly clinging to Sunflower's honey golden yellow scales.
Lychee's wounded wing was drooping down more than ever. Robin was able to now see the damage that had been done by the Dragon Flame Cactus seeds explosion, caused by her. At his shoulder where his two right wing shoulders connected, the splotchy dark green scales were burn off, exposing the red and inflamed delicate skin beneath that a dragons scales protected. She could see dry and fresh blood dripping and sneered across his scales, giving them a dirty brown look to them.
Robin felt a feeling of panic over take her as she wriggled her way out of Thorn's grip. Rushing forwards, her wings flared out to make herself bigger as she put herself between the two HiveWing's and the LeafWing soldiers.
"Don't hurt them!"
"They're HiveWing's!" A LeafWing snapped at her, a familiar one at that with a snapped horn with a snappy attitude and voice to match. It was Briar and Daffodil's friend, Snapper.
The pale green LeafWing flared at her with his dark piercing green eyes that seemed to have speckles of gold glowing darkly within them.
Robin bared her teeth as Snapper took another step forewords, his eyes narrowing at the hybrid dragonet. "But they're good ones!" She defended the two HiveWing's behind her. "Lychee and Sunflower are good dragons! They helped me escape the hives and Lychee's been helping me since I came to Pantala!"
"All HiveWing's are evil!" Snapper spat, his wings flared outwards just like Robin's. "They've pushes our tribe close to extinction and now you expect me, expect us to believe they're good dragons?!"
"Yeah!" Some LeafWing's joined in with hisses of their own.
"Kill the HiveWing's!"
"Get rid of them!"
"Feed them to a dragon eating plant!"
"No! Stop it!" A new voice shouted, causing the LeafWing's to stop and turn their hearts to see the owner of the voice, Robin doing the same. It was Thorn. The LeafWing dragonet had moved to stand beside Robin, his gaze seemingly challenging Snapper to take another step forwards, though Robin could tell her was scared by how the way his wings shook slightly. "She's telling to truth! They're good dragons! Lychee is at least, and...and if Robin says Sunflower is too, than she is."
The jungle around them grew silent, the only thing Robin could hear aside from her own breathing was the rushed pounding of her heart that rung loudly within her ears.
