"We're really gonna do this?" Python's nervously spoke up as they stood at the edge of the shoreline, looking out into he horizon of endless sea. Just ocean for as far as the eye could see.
The group of dragonets had stayed along the beach for most of the day, waiting for night fall so they could find the brightest star, and there it was. Shinning brightly in he sky ahead of them, almost calling to them to come follow it onto the unknown.
"Yes, we're doing this." Robin felt confident, her tail twitching in excitement as she looked out to the ocean ahead of her, feeling the soft waves touch the tips of her talons from where she stood, almost beckoning her towards it.
"Python," Cacti spoke up, drawing the groups attention. "If you're scared about going, you don't need to come with us."
"What? No! I wanna go! I can't let you guys go alone! What if something happens and I never know?!" The SandWing dragonet exclaimed.
"Nothings going to happen to us." Robin rolled her eyes with a huff.
"You don't know that." Python narrowed his eyes at her in a worrying and caring glare.
"Maybe I do."
"Maybe you don't."
"Anyways!" Cacti pushed his way between the two, cutting them both off. "Python, if you really don't want to come, you don't need to."
"The only reason I'm going is to make sure theses idiots don't get hurt, so it's not like we're going to force you to come." Trotzen shrugged.
"I mean we technically could." Robin shrugged.
"Robin!" Snowflake's wings fluttered as the hybrid gave a soft glare towards her.
"What?! Technically we could, I didn't say we would."
"You would."
"Would not!" Robin fluttered her wings with a huff. "I would never do that!"
The others each gave Robin a look, to which Robin faltered.
"Okay maybe I would."
"You would." Trotzen pressed further.
"I already said a I would! Now," the hybrid dragonet turned her attention back towards her adopted cousin, the SandWing just watching silently from where he stood by Cacti. "Do you want to still come?"
There was a moment of silence that lingered between the group as Python seemed to think. The only sound that filled the air was the soft rolling of the oceans waves as they crept up the beach, just barely touching the dragonets talons before it retreated back to gather itself, then it would reach out again and repeat.
Python broke the silence with a sigh before he spoke. "I'll come. I've come this far, why should I stop now and leave you guys to get all the adventure?"
"That's the spirit!" Robin smiled as she jumped up onto her talons from where she was sitting. She turned to look back out towards the star that shone brightly within the sky, almost as bright as the moons themselves. It shone brightly within the darkening purple sky as the sun continued to set towards the sea kingdom.
"Everyone ready?" She looked back towards the rest of them.
They each gave their own agreements before Robin looked forwards once more, a feeling of determination flooding over the SkyWing-NightWing dragonet as she looked out to the horizon, as though trying to see what laid out beyond the horizon.
Beyond the Sea, she thought as her wings shot open at her sides. She crouched down before her legs shot her off into the air, her wings pushing down to help lift her into the air.
