My wolf was nervous. I have no idea why, but she was. When I tried to ask, she understood but not a lot. I couldn't really comunicate with my animals, same as how they couldn't with me. She tried to motion to her snout with her paw and I realized that she smelt something. What did you smell? A memory popped into my head. This was my wolf's doing. The memory was of holding the pair of black boxers back in Zoe and Guel's room, which I found nothing peculiar about. They were mates after all, of course they would have a lot of sex.

And yet something still wasn't right.

I brush these's thoughts off. What's the point? I can't understand them anyways.

I get up from my bed when my phone honks like a duck. The custom ringtone always made me laugh. Only four people had my number, my brother, Zoe, Sophie and-

and Leah.

A boost of eagerness shot through me. I walk with long quick strides towards my phone. I straighten my back and pick up my phone, barely able to keep a straight face. I light up at the message.

Leah: Hey

Me: sup

Leah: The sky

Me: haha very funny

Leah: hru

Me: alive

Leah: lmaooo

Leah: I'm heading to Northwood Mall wanna come?

Me: sure

I tried to ignore the large amount of energy shooting through me at the thought of seeing Leah but honestly, I knew quite well that wasn't gonna happen. My brother was out with Zoe anyways so I was awfully bored.

Leah is typing...

Leah: Where do you live?

I am suprisingly good at this girl stuff and manage to pull out a non formal outfit that works well enough for a trip to the mall. It's composed up of a slightly oversised black t-shirt with a friends logo on them and a pair of ripped jeans and a pair of levi's. I still was slightly nervous but all was washed away when a heard a ring on my door. A grin spread on my face. She was here!

I walked down and couldn't help but notice the way she looked me up and down. She gulped. "You look... nice." She said hesitantly. I giggle and allowed myself to act like a girl on her first date, as this was, in fact, my first date. My cat, who was the only one up at this time of night purred at the thought.

Wait.

Date?

This isn't a date.

We were friends and she was taking me for a night out. That's it. My grin faded slightly to a polite smile. "You too." Yeah. She saw right through that. Thankfully, however, she just frowned and moved onto a different topic.

"So how've you been?"

"Alive" She laughs.

"That's good." I nod in agreement.

"It is." I immediatly blush at my stupid reply. God I'm fucking dumb. And why the fuck am I blushing? I gently tuck a strand of my bland brown hair behind my ear, Leah's eyes following my every movement. There's an awkward pause where we just stand there before she opens the door wider and makes a graceful motion.

"After you m'lady."

I make a note of what she's wearing, her mid length hair hanging loosely down her back and a cyan coloured crop-top that showed only up to her belly button with the word BOSS in bright yellow font. She also wore a pair of ripped, pale blue jeans and some white sneakers. She pulls up and the Northwood Mall and we walk in. It was only around 9 but most stores were closed, I guess that was to be expected at this time of day. "Where do you wanna go?" asked Leah. I thought for a moment.

"Is American Eagle open?" She tilts her head in a way that reminds me of a kitten. Small, innocent and curious; my cat lets out a soft purr at the thought. She taps her chin as she lets out a quick

"I think," as a small smile grows on her face and her eyes find mine "we may want to hurry though."

Well she wasn't wrong when she said we had to hurry. We were in just before an employee closed the entrence off. I browsed the tops and jeans, picking anything that I thought looked alright. I ended up with a pair of jeans and a long sleeved cyan top that Leah refused to let me pay for.

"It's only one top! I'm not that broke."

"I invited you out though, and you're getting those jeans too." She pointed out.

"You invited me out which is precisely why I have to pay." I argue, crossing my arms with the clothes in hand.

"Nuh uh" Hey Leah, your stubbourn lion genes are showing.

"Yuh huh" And my childish side is too.

"Hmph" She pouts. I almost celebrate when she grabs the clothes from my arms and races to the register.

"Hold on!" I yell, giggling at her annoyingly basic move. There's a proud grin on her face that reminds me of the :D emoji as she hands me the clothes.

"I payed. For everything." I pout as she snorts at my reaction. After an extremely long silence as we stroll out of the store, Leah offers we get some Starbucks which I obviously agree to. I had the app while Leah didn't so I ordered, secretly paying for them. When Leah offered her credit card, I smugly showed her my phone.

"It's connected to my credit card so I payed already." A shit-eating grin on my face. She whines.

"That's cheating though" another giggle escapes my lips. I haven't giggled since I was 10. What is this woman doing to me?

"And running away with the object we're paying for is not?"

"Touche" She grumbles.

She got a Grande Cloud Caramel Macchiato and I got a Venti London Fog. In just a couple days, I could get the Pumpkin Spice Latte again. Sadly today wasn't in a couple of days and my precious PSL would have to dull itself down to my year-round drink the London Fog. Unless it was summer in which I got the Strawberry Acai Refresher. I did like a few others but these were my go-to drinks.

"You're literally tiny. How do you fit that much London Fog inside of that body of yours?"

"I'm average height you're just a fucking tree and my stomach makes room for my classic Starbucks." She sipped on her precious macchiato.

"That shit's classic? I go straight for hot and sweet. This, the hot chocolate, any mocha  or frappuccino or the Mocha Frappuccino in summer are my go-tos."

"Jesus how do you not get a cavity every day?" She shrugs.

"Luck?"

"Luck doesn't stop tooth decay."

"Well I brush my fucking teeth Suzan I don't let my mouth rot with bacteria shit." She glares at me.

"Well at least we can agree that the Pumpkin Spice Latte is godly, right?" I almost beg for her answer to be yes.

"Honestly I think it's overrated."

"I'm blocking you."

"Good I don't wanna talk to your basic bitch self"
