I arrive at the school at around 9:00. My brother smiles weakly.
"Have a good day"
I mentally sigh, I know I should forgive him, after all, he's done so much for me, but last time I forgave someone for turning to the comfort of drugs, things only got worse.
He's not her
I quickly ignore the thought.
I decide on a smile back, not trusting myself to speak without my voice cracking.
And for the first time in months,I see my brother's smile become genuine because of me.
I smile at the thought.
He's happy because of me.The school is gigantic, but that's not what catches my attention. On the field, there was a big flat rock. My cat purrs at the thought of sunbathing on that, meanwhile, my wolf and bear shifts have noticed the forest in the back. Somehow, my eagle had managed to stay silent. I sigh at the tug of war going on inside my head. My eagle, sensing my disappointment lets out a loud screech which gets them all to shut up. "Thank you" I mumble, annoyed.
I genuinely wonder how sane my animals are.I open the large blue double doors, only to find myself in a busy hallway, my wolf wags its tail at the large group, enjoying the comfort of a pack, my other animals, being lone animals, wanted to hide in the back, away from others. I decide to duck my head and hide from the world. Course, being the new kid and all, I'm instantly noticed by 50% of the school.
"Nothing to see here," I mumble under my breath. I sigh in relief when some people start to turn away.'Course that last long.
"Hi!" I jump at the high pitched voice.
"Fuck" I mumble under my breath. "Hi..." I reply nervously, turning around to see a mousy haired girl with pale blue eyes wearing a pale blue and white striped shirt with a cropped jean jacket and tortoiseshell glasses. I notice her pastel blue jeggings and baby pink converse, giving her an innocent vibe. She looks around my hight but about an inch shorter, which is quite short considering my 5'8 build. And sweet fuck she was hot. Definitely not my type but hot none the less. She laughs. "I can tell when I'm not wanted."
I awkwardly chuckle. "Yeah, I-um-I-thanks?" I groan at my inability to think before I speak. She laughs and, thankfully, changes the subject. "Shifter, right?" She asks, much to her credibility. My eyes flit around. "Yeah, I-" I had meant to say something, I really had, but something caught my eye.Bright electric blue eyes.
"Who is that?" I ask, my gaze following the owner of them who had short dirty blonde hair and a teal tee that matched her eyes.
Before I could further spiral into my thoughts, the girl I was talking too replies, "wow, you're not even gonna ask MY name? Nice to know your opinion." My eyes widen at the comment. "OhmygodImsosorry!" I fret "I- uh, what's your name." She laughs once more.
"Sophie, thank you for asking."
I smile
"Bridgette"
