"Some villains just can't be beaten without powers. So no, I honestly don't think you can be a hero without a quirk."

That's what my idol said to me...

"You should probably give it up."

That's what the doctor said to me...

"I'm sorry, Izuku. I wish things were different..."

That's what my mom said to me...

"You know if you really want to be a hero that badly, there's actually another way. Just pray that you'll be born with a quirk in your next life and take a swan dive off the roof of the building."

That's what Kacchan said to me...

Atleast I tried. Guess now I should get back to giving up on my dreams.

Green eyes were blurred by tears as a middle schooler sat on the ledge of a school building, knuckles turning white from the grip he had on the edge. He carefully contemplated his next moves as his chest felt tight over his sobs. So many people have doubted him because of his quirkless gene he had no control over. Nobody seemed to think he could become anything resembling a hero. He didn't know why he thought All Might would be any different. "I'm sorry mom... I hope maybe this'll give you a chance to start your life over. You won't have your loser son to look after, you can be happier." He shakily exhaled, gritting his teeth as he tightly gripped onto the ledge. He tried not to release a whimper as fear began to corse through him. "I'm sorry for whatever I did to make you hate me Kacchan... I hope me being out of your way fixes your attitude." He finally got out as he slowly rose to his feet.

No letter, no phonecall, nothing. He wasn't gonna leave anything behind, it wasn't like that'd matter much anyways. It wasn't like he could take anything with him where he was going. Why bother with the thought of doing one final action that'd prove to be pointless? Looking down the best he could past swollen teary eyes, laying his arms flat against his sides he'd Inch closer to the ledge. He took a final breath before relaxing his body entirely as he agreed with his next actions of movements. He let his body lean with the wind and with that he started to plummet down off the building. His throat was so dry, His heartbeat was too loud, his mind was growing empty, and his body was falling entirely limp.

This was it, that was the end of his life. Probably will get a chance at after life, maybe be in a purgatory of sorts, but all he felt he knew was that he wasn't gonna be alive anymore.

...

If that was the case than how come he never felt the slam of his body bouncing on the concrete? Was it supposed to be painless? A pressure was felt on his shoulders but it wasn't as bad as he thought it would initially feel.

Was this how suicide worked?

He didn't hear a sound, it was like the world had gone mute when he opened his eyes. He hovered just slightly above the brunette girl, having been met with a startled expression among her rounded face and sapphire eyes. His tears had now stained her tinted cheeks as they just shared a gaze for a moment.

'She saved me?..'

Her shaken breath had brought back the missing volume, pressing her hands together as slowly his body fell from the air but with safely planted feet.

'She did.'

'She saved me from the worse mistake I could've made in my life'

'Now how will I ever repay her for it?'
