"Toshinori, do you know what it means to be a hero?"

The question was so simple and seemed like it had a straight forward answer but somehow I couldn't even breathe out one. I hadn't been a hero, nor did I have the strength to be one. Being quirkless in a town that was targeted by so many villains on the daily was dangerous, as much as you wanted to be a hero you would probably get yourself killed for thinking you could take up an actual hero's job.

"I don't know what it means yet but I know that I want to become a pillar of justice that people can believe in."

"Do your really think you can be that for people?"

"I definitely can!"

I couldn't keep true to my word... I was such an idiot to tell that kid he couldn't be a hero when I almost allowed you to get killed. "I am so sorry young Bakugou."

Toshinori would be at the hospital yet again to check on the blonde middle schooler knowing that his status wasn't exactly the greatest. It wasn't critical but it was bad enough that they had to keep him overnight. Toshinori would deflate to take a break and just sit beside his bed, looking down at the extra slime in the bucket beside him. He must've still been throwing up parts of him... Hopefully that wasn't the same case for that other young one.

This had been the heaviest guilt that Toshinori had felt In a long time. He failed two kids and even the public despite their praise. He would've expected to be criticized because he was late to save Bakugou, but the only one really beating on him about it was himself.

Bakugo was taken over by that monster, having rooted deep inside him the moment All might even showed up to the scene. It was a miracle he hadn't killed Bakugou with his Detroit smash, though he was glad he got a majority of the villain out of him... Atleast he assumed he had.

"That boy... Did I even get his name before I left him?" He'd ask out loud as he stared over at the tattered school uniform barely hanging out of the garbage. He thought about the disappointment that crossed the young boys face the moment he told him the reality of the situation, somehow that stung him more than the sight of the male below him. He kept telling himself what he said wasn't wrong, he couldn't have been wrong. The only reason why he was the symbol of peace was because he had a-

"You are quirkless Toshi. You need to work real hard to be the top hero if you really want to be like me someday."

His thoughts fell silent upon her voice speaking in his head. That's right... He's been going through this job for so long that, that factor of himself was almost gone from his mind. God... What had he done? Panic just barely set in his chest the more he thought about where he left him, with how much of a fanboy he was, surely that would've-

"Who the hell-?" Bakugou would start to stir, coughing as he ripped away his oxygen mask from his face. Leaning over on his side he would puke into the bucket harshly, having shivered in distaste over thick fluid leaving his body again. Toshinori immediately going back into his stronger form had patted his back so he could try and ease the males breathing. Alot more slime was coming up from his throat and just the sight made the man want to cry. Seriously... What had he done? How could he allow himself to wait that long?

The blonde breathed shakily looking down at the bucket, glaring down at it as his throat burned from the amount that left him this time. He nearly filled it to the brim this time which disgusted him the more he shakily exhaled. His eyes were teary and his cheeks felt sore from how many times he had  gagged up the fucker. It made his blood boil but even if he wanted to react harshly, his erupt need to throw up would stop him. "Who the hell-?... All might?!" The male would raise his head looking at the actual saddened taller hero.

"Glad to see your awake young Bakugou... I am so sorry." He would apologize listening to his uneven breathing pattern, removing his hand from his back. "Let me get you some water." He would speak dismissively knowing the male was in shock with how his heart monitor practically spiked the more he realized this encounter wasn't a dream. He would've been flattered had he not been so worried for his well being.

"What the fuck happened to me?" He'd question outloud, already moving his bed sheet away. No way in hell was he going to be seen in this weakened state by anybody else. It was embarrassing enough for All might, a hero he's looked up to for many years, to see him in a hospital gown of all things. It wasn't like he imagined the day but surely this current setting wasn't ideal.  Sitting himself up with a bit a struggle he  felt just how sore his body was after the encounter. Moving out of bed made it even more evident when he almost immediately sunk down to the floor.

'Oh hell no..'

"There isn't a reason you should be trying to get away right now. Please, sit down for a moment and drink your water, you aren't ready for all of that yet." All might  would state worriedly as he carefully helped him back on the bed despite the males darkening demeanor. "Your still throwing up, it isn't surprising your body is rejecting you.' he would just barely lecture, offering the cup over only for his wrist to be smacked as the water had been spilled on the floor. "My body isn't fucking rejecting me, your bold old man to think that's gonna stop me."

While the blonde did talk a heavy game in order to seem strong, it didn't last long with how easily his mouth started to water, trying to choke it down but he couldn't having went straight back to the bucket. He really wouldn't be able to talk smack for awhile until everything was out of him. He was already acting brash without any consideration for himself, why was he being stubborn with All might?

Cleaning up the water from the floor the other blonde sighed, contemplating with whether or not he should stay now that he was sure the boy was awake. It didn't seem like he wanted his company anyways so, would that really be the best idea? "If your done then please, try and keep hydrated. I'll leave you be but, I'll notify the office that your awake." He'd speak dismissively filling his water cup again before setting it down on the coffee table beside him.

'I don't know what pisses me off more, the fact that All might had seen me like this or, for the fact my parents aren't already here.'
