"I really just offered you pond water to help clean up a bit but, I'm sure you would rather go home cleaned. Again, I still offered you food and a cake so, one way or another I owe it to you." He spoke with genuine intent. Uraraka was reluctant to accept with the bus schedule time and even her own family who probably would be waiting for her. "Really it's fine." She reassured, "I'm not from this side of town so, I don't want to impose on whatever you have going on at home."

He just barely smiled at the words she spoke, finding the kind words she excused herself with were just a way to let him off in a kind way. Knowing the tone he just nodded slightly, "If you really want to go that's fine. Can I atleast know where I'm sending the cake to? I get I'm not really good at what I'm attempting and I may seem weird to you but, really, I just wanna win today, you know?" He asked with a sigh and a deflated becoming smile. Admittedly he was tired, exhausted even but he hated the dread of leaving her without anything.

"Midoriya really it's fine. I'm not necessarily trying to deny what you're trying to do but I don't want you wasting money on me." She waved her hands now a bit deflated herself from the facade she saw him forming. She didn't like his fake smile at all. "Wasting money is when you use things on material items instead of things you can use. Really at least I know my money is going somewhere where it's going to be useful to somebody. You must've gotten the cake for some special occasion."

She paused highly debating with herself though her stomach growled as to tell her to stop avoiding his offer. She couldn't even deny she was hungry at this point. Sighing she gave in, "Okay alright... Are we getting food now or do you just want my number?" She questioned not really realizing how that could've sounded in other contexts. That just barely flustered the green haired boy who had actually taken it in the other context."Ahah... Well my mom always has food on the table so I'm sure she would love to fill another plate for you. I'm sure I can also get a sweet made for you in the meantime." He had hummed. He didn't know why it embarrassed him, it wasn't like he really had a phone anyways.

...

"You sure I wouldn't be intruding on your dinner?" She asked as she had been walking with him, having been pondering just how his mom would react to her. She wanted to atleast be respectful in case his mom actually had been the sweetest thing instead of one of those abusive parents. She really couldn't stop thinking about what else had encouraged his jump... surely he didn't want his mother to know what he actually tried today either. Having looked at her she blinked at the sudden eye contact as he once again just offered her a nervous smile. "No of course not. She always has extra ready for tomorrow and if her friend makes a surprise visit. If anything she'll be happy I brought someone over for dinner."

"I don't really look the most presentable for dinner. I mean we are both in uniform still but you'll be able to change and-" "we won't restrict you from the washroom if you feel you need to freshen up. My mom also has some spare clothes ready for guest just so they can be comfortable when they come over." He just shook his head knowing she probably wouldn't accept a shirt from him anyways. She lightly nodded appreciatively a little weary about the whole thing but he was trying to be nice. She might as well take the offer and get her stomach to stop yelling at her for some sort of sustenance. It was getting embarrassing how loud it sounded to her.

"If your still hungry I'm sure she'll wrap you up some to go home. My mom is just as persistent as me when it comes to these things." He spoke up to silence the growl her stomach held, just looking at her sympathetically over how hungry she had been.

'im sorry, I'll make up for that right now. I promise.'

Her prior thought of a bad household just began to leave her mind as she began to untense again over this reassurance. "You and your mom seem really nice."she quietly spoke with a small smile walking beside him. Her body just now reminded her that her wrists had been bent with the sore feeling she started to feel the more she walked beside him. She didn't want to make it obvious so she just quietly rubbed her wrist as he they walked, just trying to make it seem as if she was fidgetting as they walked the rest of the way into the neighborhood.

Having arrived home he relaxed himself, releasing a breath as he unlocked the door and stopped taking off his shoes. "Izuku is that you? Where have you been?" His mom called from the kitchen with just a inch of worry within her tone. "I'm sorry mom, I was held back at school for awhile." He called back which almost wasn't a lie. He was held back by Bakugou which just made him stay for a moment longer after class. Stiffly coming into the kitchen he swallowed thickly as she turned her attention to him. What once was a smile lowered slightly in concern, "What happened to your hair? And who's your friend there?" She asked looking over at Uraraka before back at his mini bun.

Seeing as he seemed nervous when they came in she just lightly greeted with a warm smile "Hi I'm Uraraka." She was trying to seem friendly because he seemed really uneasy now that they were actually here. Was it still a good idea to be here? Did he regret his offer already even if she hadn't really said much? It's not like she could just leave now because that would be rude and she didn't want to come across that way to his worried mom. She was sure he only felt worried for her because she had the ability to explain why he actually had been late. For now she was trying to brainstorm a decent story to ease that thought of his. She could always blame her clumsiness... the frosting on them both could've been from a dessert from a friend or something... What would be believable?
