"I've been taking notes for years on heroes. My handwriting is still messy today but, it kind of has improved. Atleast, I'd like to think it has." Midoriya would state sheepishly, going into his desk to pull out his various old notebooks filled to the brim with his thoughts. "If you can't read certain things, I think I can remember the context for it."
Uraraka had been in the boys room this time around, having kind of bullied him into letting her see his room just to look through his 'pond books'. She figured she could tell alot about a person just by how their room looks but, In Midoriya's case, it didn't really tell her anything new. She already got the feel he was quite the nerd, and a tidy one at that. While the old notebooks he had may have been scattered everywhere in his desk, everything else seemed kept up with. It was kind of refreshing to see how put together he was, even if his actions didn't necessarily reflect that.
Grazing thought pages of a few of his notebooks, she was kind of startled and overwhelmed by how textured the pages were from his deep writing. She had never seen someone fill a notebook completely with writing before. "Wow... You really weren't kidding." The girl would speak slowly, having internally felt bad about that in a sense. 'He must've figured all these notes were for nothing.' she would think to herself before furrowing her brows.
'Uraraka. Your making him seem pathetic in your head. Stop overanalyzing, he probably doesn't even feel that way about it.'
Internally scolding herself for her thoughts, she'd actually take a moment to look over his old clumsy handwriting. She couldn't help but smile softly as she read through his earliest one, having been a small notepad with his name shakily written in the front. She wasn't surprised that All might had been the hero he talked about for atleast several pages, but seeing an actual doodle of his mom made her heart squeeze. "My mom is my biggest hero..!?" Uraraka would gasp, nearly tearing up over the cute little illustration.
Midoriya would release a flustered chuckle at that, remembering the wholesome moment between him and his mom over that page. "That's so cute Midoriya! How'd she react to this?" "She cried over the page so much it made my other notes damp... That's how I got my next notebook." He would laugh with a soft smile before standing up from his chair. "Hold on, I'll see if my notes from yesterday are legible."

The two had went through his old to newer notebooks for hours, the girl having listened to his continuous murmurs, flabbergasted that he could even go into deep thought like that. He really had all this determination and amazing thoughts, it was sad to think he almost threw that all away.
"I can't wait to see how you apply all these thoughts to making support items. You clearly have alot of things thought out to create something useful." The brunette would praise but, hearing such made the green haired male stop and nervously scratch his cheek. He had fell silent over the mention of this, having needed to gather his thoughts for a minute before he spoke again. "I know that I made you a promise at the train station to try hard on my dream but, I'm kind of having second thoughts about it if I'm being honest." Midoriya would sigh, a nervous smile making its way to his lips.
He fidgeted with his hands in his lap, continuing to explain himself. "I still have to decide how to deal with the idea of trying to become a support hero. I've done some searching and even though I'm confident in my effort.. I'm just not sure if It'll even be enough to get me in the course." He spoke, trying to think of his chances in a more realistic sense. The girl however, would've furrowed her brows with a forming frown, not happy with his suddenly doubtful brain. "Midoriya, we have ten months until the actual exam. Don't you think you can get alot done in that amount of time?"
"The support hero course deals with mechanics and I'm far from being an engineer Uraraka. I have my own set of skills sure, but I'm nowhere near that level of capability as the others probably would be." He retorted back with slightly furrowed brows. "I can provide ideas but I can't provide mechanical expertise." The girl would shake her head, just not accepting these excuses. "I can look into places for you to volunteer at." She offered thinking on it. She had two parents with connections after all. "I could probably figure out a place for you to volunteer at so you don't have to worry about your school" she reassured lightly.
"You really don't have to, I'm just complaining. You've done more than enough for me." He shook his head in light refusal, but Uraraka was becoming persistent. "My parents work in construction so I'm sure they know a few people that would be more than willing to help out. That is if you're serious about applying" she spoke kinda excited for him, atleast trying to make an attempt to make his doubt diminish a bit. With how eager she was to try and make him rethink his choices, he softly sighed with a smile. She really had that much belief in him, huh?
"I am willing to put my time into learning but, the chance of me still getting accepted compared to the others with more experience is very slim Uraraka." He murmured."I have a slim chance of getting in too. My quirk isn't all that useful for fighting. I'm sure there will be people applying with way more experience." She would state back in defense, but Midoriya already was furrowing his brows at her.
"Your quirk is useful for fighting and rescuing others, atleast I can already see how you can make it useful." He huffed at her, looking intently at the girl. "You have a greater chance at getting in than me. That's not me saying my situation is worse, it's just more realistic." He spoke just going off what he remembers Allmight telling him. "Maybe we can help each other... I have ideas but none of my thoughts of combat have really been used before. Maybe I can see if I can help you there, while you help me with,,, well finding engineers to learn from."
"That can definitely work out" she nodded with a gentle smile
His face immediately brightened up again into a completely different hue as the smile seemed massively more genuine.
Time for some training.
