Despite the cold air conditioning of the store, the teens both felt a bit warm over the sudden silence that crossed them both. She didn't really know how to respond to him after he stated that comment so sadly. She understood why he wouldn't go back but if that was the case, why was he wearing his uniform? Would it be rude to ask if he had gone but got overwhelmed? Deciding to drift away from the concept her eyes switched over to his doodle of her on his lined notebook paper. Smiling lightly over that, she motioned her finger over to point at it. "You draw?" she'd ask as a smile laced within her tone. Midoriya pulled himself out of his sad mood only to drift to heavily embarrassed behavior. Today he was definitely lacking the bit of confidence he had talking to the girl the other day.

Uraraka smiled from ear to ear as she actually praised him for his drawing. "This is really good! I have never had someone draw me before." She grinned hoping to ease him more. The last thing she wanted to do was make him feel bad after the bad day she assumed he had. Watching as he smiled himself she noticed how folded and textured the paper had been in her hand, having grown curious she unfolded it to see a pretty lengthy note. She was gonna ask if he maybe had accidentally written on one of his school notes but he had quickly moved her wrist down. The boy worriedly sighed just trying to dismiss her curiosity quickly before she had a chance to even gaze over his actual written words. "If you could, please just read it when I'm not around?"

The boy was nervous to even ask a request of the confused girl but he didn't wanna see her face while she read over his letter. It wasn't like he wrote something like that on a daily, he didn't even know how he should take his own words. Seeing her actually holding his note in her hand made him realize just how dumb that letter really was. "I didn't think I'd see you again... That's why I wrote it." he admitted at least looking back towards her directly as she just stared at him with an unreadable expression. Slowly she formed a smile again as she refolded the note, tucking it away in her skirt pocket as to his request. "This is nothing... yesterday related right?" She questioned a bit concerned about it's contents.

"Well.. in a sense it does relate to yesterday but it's more of a written apology." He rubbed the back of his neck, just barely sinking in his uniform upon the rise in stares he felt they gained. Atleast this time it wasn't just his paranoia, cause Uraraka felt that too. The girl sighed as she lowered her tone, "You got a lot of unwanted attention today from someone recording what you attempted, yeah...?"she'd ask rubbing the back of her wrist, feeling bad bringing it up but it was relevant. "The concern for people who hadn't really cared about me in the first place was overwhelming to say the least." Midoriya would admit, feeling that sinking feeling in his stomach again about the mention.

Seeing his expression shift she just waved her hands, frowning a bit over his saddened reaction. "I got alot of attention too so don't worry, let's just get out of here?" She would start to gently grab his wrist to guide them away from the people. "I'm sorry about that." He would apologize, following her along slowly as he wrapped his arm securely around the cake.

They had walked in comfortable silence, the brunette having eventually linked her hand with his, having been careful to raise her pinky as she had. Midoriya would have just the slightest tint on his cheeks as they made their way out of the shopping district and down the block of his neighborhood. He had liked how she held his hand, thinking it was a little funny how she had to be careful to raise her pinky in order to not make him float. He would like to make note of that later in his new notebook.

Having broke the silence, Uraraka had questioned Midoriya a little more seriously now that they had been alone. "Midoriya, are you sure you're okay? You still seem shaken up." His green gaze would meet her concerned stare, having slowly parted his hand away so they could come to an official stop in the middle of the sidewalk. He knew better than to lie to her this time, having just given a shrug after a moment of thought."No, I'm not okay but there's nothing else I can really do. I made a mistake and soon everyone else will forget about it. It'll be like it never happened.." he'd speak flatly, doing his best not to mumble.

Her own light smile fell at that statement, having started to grow a little worried about leaving him alone when that's how he felt. She sighed, trying to think of an excuse for her to stick around, wanting to prevent him from attempting again. What if that's what the note was? An apology for committing after he promised he would try? "Well, since I'm already on this side of town again we should hang out!" she suggested with a hum but Midoriya could sense that statement was a little forced. Maybe he should've just lied to make her feel more assured.

While he did appreciate the offer, he just didn't want to gain a false friend.

He was so over falling for them.

"You don't have to, I don't want your replacement cake to become melted." He shook his head as he pressed the cake to her chest slowly. "I have a hunch I know why you would want to anyways and... It's really okay Uraraka." He would just sadly smile at her, having just started walking home again as he passed her. The brunette stood in place for a moment as she watched him walk off, furrowing her brows over him realizing her intentions. She wanted to believe him but she just knew that smile of his wasn't genuine. She has seen his real smile and that one he just gave her wasn't it at all.

She'd soon gain courage to actually speak up, having began to follow him again. "It's not relevant to yesterday! I was asking to hang out because you seem genuinely interesting... I was wondering what was in that notebook you picked out of the pond?" That wasn't a complete lie, she was curious, it just wasn't appropriate to ask about yesterday. He would yet again offer her a sad smile at her continued effort, having wondered himself if that was actually true. Giving in, he would just give a nod waiting for her to walk beside him again.
