"K-Kaachan just played a joke on me and she just happened to be a bit too close when I got a cake delivered to my head. We were being escorted out by the teacher for making a mess in the hallways so we didn't really get time to properly clean up." Midoriya had anxiously chuckled in explanation. He seemed a bit better at lying to her than the girl beside him only for the simple fact that him and his childhood friend had cut those type of ties back in first grade. He always had to make up these type of stories to not have her worry about the bullying he was enduring from his classmates, and especially the blonde she still thought somewhat fondly about.

"Well jokes should be funny Izuku." Inko scolded him a bit with a frown as she came over with a sigh undoing her pink apron. "That just seems like a waste of a good cake." "I-t was really funny mom! You should've seen the look me and Uraraka had while being met with it." He had fibbed just wanting to shrink away from the conversation not wanting to add onto it. Deciding to switch over, he looked at the perplexed girl with a reluctant smile as he had spoke a bit more relaxed when mentioning her. "I thought I should offer Uraraka to come to dinner since she got caught in our shenanigans."

The girl had just lightly smiled nodding her head a bit, feeling bad about lying to the kind woman but it's better than hearing about what her son actually planned to do. "It was funny until Sensei came out to scold us." She had agreed looking back over at the woman who held a expression that just said 'Im not buying it' while staring at the two skeptically. Soft she may have seemed but, she wasn't the slightest bit clueless about how her son acted when he was lying to her. His mannerisms were his biggest tells, and from what she had observed so far, Uraraka's tells were in her tone of voice.

If Midoriya felt he had a need to lie, it was probably for a good reason. That's what she wanted to believe, so that's what the young mother was gonna believe. Sighing softly she regained her composure just offering a gentle smile, "Well, go and change, you smell like a fishtank. I can give you a spare shirt if you need one, I'm not letting any children get sick in my home because their cold." Inko said seriously but at least her face still held a soft smile. "Are you sure Mrs? I don't want to be a inconvenience-" Uraraka began only to be silenced by the woman taking the back of her hand to give her the clothes.

"It'll only be an inconvenience if your not comfortable here. It's nice for someone to freshen up before dinner." She mused before looking over at her son. "Izuku show her to the bathroom before you go change." In which he did without complaint. He knew better than to make his mom question his actions as a 'host' so he acted accordingly just tilting his head to motion her along. Following the male she whispered quietly "Your mom's super nice." "She's a lovely lady." He whispered back with a relieved smile. Stopping at the bathroom door as he rubbed the back of his neck really hoping that this wouldn't be too awkward.

"Let me know if the shirt doesn't fit, I won't have a problem getting you a new one." He just slightly bowed his head respectfully before he went to his room to change into something proper, leaving her be to go and get dressed with some privacy.

I'm very sorry, I hope I can make it up to you soon.

After she cleaned up she left the bathroom to see that her new friend was already setting the table with bowls of food and plates of silverware, his mother getting glasses and filling them with cubes of ice and retrieving pitchers of juice... It filled the girl with a feeling she couldn't exactly put into words. It made her feel warm and fuzzy but realizing she was caught staring she shook her head just approaching the two, "Want me to help with anything?" She offered only to be met with a shake of both their heads.

"No, it's okay. Go ahead and sit down and serve yourself while the food is still hot." Inko spoke dismissively shooing her away as she placed down three cups at the table. "Would you like peach or green apple juice?'
"O-Oh uhm....peach tea please." she asked with a slow nod, not being used to not helping as she was poured and handed a cold glass of peach tea. Midoriya had taken a seat beside her still subtly blushing as he tried to ease his anxiety with thinking about what he could give her in the meantime to take home as a replacement.

Granted they didn't really have many sweet things but, if she wouldn't personally take his money he would have to think of something else to send her home with. Being snapped out of his thoughts by Uraraka's audible hum of satisfaction, he drew his attention back to the bowl of Katsudon as well as the dumplings his mother had actually served him without his knowledge. It had made a sense of relief wash over him as he looked down at his food, having been greatful he had lived to come back home for his favorite meal.

I'm really sorry I almost did that to you...

"Itadakimas." He murmured respectfully bowing his head before beginning to eat.
His mother could definitely cook while Uraraka's own parent's couldn't do that well. It wasn't that they didn't have any culinary skills it's just they never really could afford doing a meal like this. With how many bowls filled the table she felt like it was almost like some type of celebration, it admittedly somewhat overwhelmed her as she ate slowly to enjoy the meal.

A little while into the meal, inko decided to gain the girls attention by asking a question as usual mother's would tend to do over the opposing gender being invited to the house. "Do you go to a different school? Your uniform is different compared to the girls at Aldera Junior High." She had asked curiously making Midoriya nearly choke over the mention. Uraraka just laid her knee against his as if to reassure him as she responded accordingly, "Yes ma'am I am. There was a program at Aidera that my school didn't provide so a few students from my class went on a trip here." She explained though she did feel bad for continuing to lie to the sweet woman.

"Oh well that's nice to hear they're trying to branch out, because of the cake you didn't get back to the bus on time?" Inko asked, her smile dying down in the slightest knowing the following school wasn't necessarily the closest nor in the neighborhood. "Well... Yes." Uraraka nodded And murmured in confirmation, "The trains thankfully don't stop running at night time." "Luckily, I'll have to call his mom to make him apologize to you for the inconvenience if he didn't already." She sighed at the mention. Atleast her son offered food, what was katsuki offering as an apology?

Cutting off his mother from anymore further scolding, he brought her attentjon back to him, gently nudging her with his knee. "W-would you like some creme bread to take with you back home? I think that'll at least be a nicer replacement for the hair cake." He brought up, just not wanting his mom to possibly expose their story as fake with making a life threatening phone call.
