After a long car trip, to Maisy at least, they made it to the Airbnb.

For an Airbnb, it was pretty nice. Huge.

"How did you even find this place?" Beau looked around him as he set Maisys bag down on the floor near the front door.

Cassidy shrugged, and took in a deep breath as she smiled and looked around too. "I have my ways."

Eric lowered Maisy to the ground and she immediately started to run around, swinging around Teddy as she went climbed onto the couch.

"Gwapes!" Maisy went to grab some grapes out of a bowl sitting on the coffee table, but Miles quickly swooped in and grabbed her before she could get them.

"Those aren't real grapes, don't eat them." Mikes set her down once he could tell she listened, and looked behind him at Amber.

She was talking with Cassidy about the room situation, and who got what room.

Beau got his own room, the master bedroom, next to his was Cassidys. Then across the hall was Miles and Ambers, then the kiddie room.

The next half hour was mostly unpacking and checking everything out.

Beau was setting up Maisy in the kids room as Maisy was exploring the room herself. "Beauy, look! S' a cow!" Maisy held up a small plush cow, it was about the same size as Bubbles, but just a little fluffier.

"Cool, remember that it isn't ours okay? So play with him gently." Beau was setting up her night light, he insisted on bringing it, terrified of Maisy's previous night terror, even though that was the only time she's had one.

"His name is Moo-moo." Maisy completely ignored Beaus warning to not get attatched, Moo-Moo's just too lovable.

As Maisy was babbling on and playing with her stuffed animals, Amber and Miles were settling into their room.

•. •. •.

Amber was laying down on the bed, Miles had just lowered her down to slowly meet their lips together in a small, but lasting kiss.

"I don't think we should Miles."

His lip pulled up slightly on one side, into a sly smile. "Why not?"

"We're with your family, it's not all about us you know." Amber put her hand on his chest and nudged him back so she could sit up.

She was about to say something else, but was interrupted by the faint yell from Beau. "Hey! Are you going to come play monopoly or not?"

Miles sighed but then looked back at Amber, a strange glimmer of hope in his eyes. "We can skip out on 'family bonding' and do something...better."

Amber rolled her eyes but smiled at him as she got up and smoothed the wrinkles out of her top. "I think it's nice. I've never had a family game night."

Miles raised his eyebrow, completely forgetting what he was thinking about before. "You've never had forced family fun?"

Amber smiled and moved a strand of hair behind her ear as she shrugged, pretending it was like nothing. "Not really. My family's just never seemed like...a family."

Miles stared at Amber, wondering how the hell he never knew that about her, as she grabbed a maroon sweater from her bag.

It took her a second to realize why he was still quiet, and she turned around with a lingering smile on her face. "What? My family's never been like that, they always preferred we just stayed away from them and didn't fight."

Amber was referring to her sister, Annalise. Her parents were practically separated, but under the same roof.

"Come on." Miles stood up and grabbed her hand, pulling her to the door. "I thought you didn't want to?"

Miles stopped and dramatically turned to face her again. "You've never played monopoly with your family, we've gotta go show them how it's done."

Amber smiled at Miles, genuinely grateful that he wanted her to be apart of this. Even if it was only a weekend getaway, it meant the world to her.

After they played a brutal game of monopoly, and after a couple small arguments, they all watched a Disney movie together before slowly dispersing.

First, Beau went to put Maisy to bed with her newest attachment Moo-moo, then Miles and Amber went upstairs-which left Beau down in the living room by himself when Cassidy went up.

He didn't feel like going up to bed right this second, so he had his computer out answering some work emails, when Cassidy came back down looking way too dressed up to be sitting on the couch doing nothing.

"Where are you going?"

Cassidy had her shiny dangly earrings on, and a shorter deep blue dress. "...I thought you were putting Maisy to bed?"

Beau frowned and set his computer next to him. "I already did, are you going somewhere?"

Cassidy just sighed and nodded as she put her shoes on. "Yeah, I want to check this place I found out, it's less child friendly so I thought I'd wait."

Beau didn't want to pry, it's not like he's her dad. They're twins, not each other's parents.

"Alright...well, have fun."

Cassidy raised her eyebrow and stared at him for another second, wondering if she heard him right. Never in a million years would she have guessed that those words would come out of his mouth.

"...okay, night." She left before he could say anything else, doubting he would continue not to ask anything else if she stayed.

The next day, after breakfast they decided they would play another game of monopoly before they went out to explore.

"Oh my god, Get the rule book! No, I don't believe you, if you seriously think-" Eric and Cassidy were arguing over the rules, and to make it worse Eric acted as the bank this round.

"It is too! You're just mad because you can't be as successful as me!" Eric refused to let Cassidy near the rule book, and Maisy watched them from Beaus lap, not understanding what they were fighting about.

"Guys, not now?" Beau shot them a look and nodded towards Maisy, who was oblivious to their argument. "One second, Eric is clearly cheating-"

Beau stopped Cassidy with a look, and she stopped, but gave Eric a look that made him stop silently gloating before he even started.

"Well well well, Ms. Cassidy Rose, pleasure to see you again."

He stood up when he saw Cassidy, and held out his hand for her to shake again. She took it with a hesitant smile, and took his hand in hers.

"It's a pleasure to see you again too, Mr. Chase Bennett."
