"Don't wanna be an American idiot, Don't want a nation under the new mania."

I sang along to each word while brushing my hair. I don't even know why I was doing this, pretending to be happy, because I know I wasn't. The truth was, my life sucked.

I pulled my long sleeved, old, sweater over my head and pulled it right down. I honestly wasn't excited to going back to school. I really enjoyed the summer.

I mostly stayed in my bedroom and read fanfiction, slept and watched netflix. It was great. But of course it was the first day back which meant no more fun for me.

I put all my books that I would need for the day in my bag and slung it over my shoulder before making my way down stairs. My little brother, Keith was sat at the table eating cereal while my mum was doing the dishes.

My dad was already at work, as usual.

"Cereals on the worktop" My mum said to me, not even looking me in the eye. She was obviously stressing about something.

"K" I replied and sat down. I poured it in and some milk.

"Guess what?" My brother asked me.

"What?" I asked smiling at him.

"I have a chance of becoming the captain of my group" He replied with the biggest grin on his face.

"Oh that's great!" I replied still smiling, "Let me know how it goes!" I stood up and picked up my bag.

"Have a good day!" My mum shouted.

As soon as I left the house I put my earphones in and began to walk to school.

I got nearer the school and saw people hugging their friends and boys kissing girls and to be honest it made me feel very uncomfortable.

I didn't have many friends.

Infact I had none.

Taking my earphones out was the worst thing I could have done, it meant people could speak to me. As I was walking down the corridor to get to my locker I could feel eyes looking at me but I just brushed it off.

I put the combination in my locker and opened it, placing my bag in and taking out the books I needed. I was in Maths first.

Yay

Not.

The bell rang and I headed to my class. Of course, it was just a swarm of students and all I was hoping for was that I would make it there alive and my bones wouldn't get crushed.

I walked through the classroom and people weren't settled yet obviously. Some people were throwing basketballs across the room, others were kissing and the one big group were all sitting chatting.

I tried to avoid anyone and sat at the very back. Of course I knew I couldn't get away that easily.

The whole group stood up, I could see it out the corner of my eye.

I took out my books and placed them on my desk.

"Oh well if it isn't barney the dinosaur!" I recognised the voice immediately.

I heard everyone else around him laughing.

"That was a good one Cally-wally."

Cally-wally?

Is she serious?

This was the words coming out of the school sluts mouth.

"Lost for words?" Calum continued, "Well maybe you should run on home and have a little cry like you normally do and maybe then you'll realise that you actually have no friends and infact none of your family even like you, let alone love you? That's gotta hurt."
