*Katie's POV*

"I don't see what the problem is" I shrugged putting my combination in my locker and opening it.

"If you're on the committee then we won't get to spend as much time together" Calum moaned as he leant at the locker next to me.

"I'm only going after school today to set up for it, I don't do anything at the prom" I said taking my books out and closing the door.

"Promise?"

"I promise" I smiled as he leaned forward and kissed me.

"Ahem."

We both pulled away to look at Michael.

"I just caught Luke and Becca doing that, I don't need to see it again" He shuddered.

"You and Vanessa will be doing it in no time" I scoffed walking away to catch up with Luke.

"Morning" He chimed smiling.

"How's things?"

"Things are great Kat, things are great."

"Are you excited for prom?"

"Yup" I said just as the bell rang and we walked to Music.

"Graduation is soon too" He said as we sat down as I went and got 2 guitars.

"Yup, then your band will take off and I'll be another girl in the crowd" I sighed dramatically.

"Yup sure, as if we won't remember you, plus you'll be dating one of the members, remember."

I smiled and nodded, "True."

"No I'm staying at Becca's so we can get ready tomorrow" I smiled at someone on the prom committee as I sat my bag down.

"Aw okay, I'll miss you" Calum said and I could sense the pout through the phone.

"I'll miss you too, I've gotta go, bye."

I began to help set up the decorations which took quite a while. After we had finished it was about 8pm and the room was finally finished.

I headed back to Becca's house and Vanessa was there as well.

"Hey Katie, Joy dropped off your dress and stuff" Becca said smiling as we sat in her lounge and spoke about random things. Soon we decided it would be best to go to sleep.

In the morning, we got up and went to our appointments at the hairdressers. I had always thought this whole prom thing was a waste of time and if you had asked me if I was going to prom a few months ago the answer would definitely be no.

But things were different now, Calum was here.

Vanessa got her hair done in a messy bun style with two strands falling down each side while Becca got a more detailed bun, french braids running through it. I just stuck with a messy side fishtail, nothing too fancy.

It was safe to say we had done absolutely nothing since we got our hair done. Prom started at 8pm and it was 7pm the now and we were adding finishing touches to our makeup. It took us nearly over an hour to get in our dresses without messing our hair up.

I took especially long as I was trying to find a long sleeved jacket to wear over my dress. (dress in pic)

Becca's family took lots of pictures of us, as well, and we waited for the car to come get us, we were going to get a limo for all of us but the boys realised we would probably be late which was right.
