twenty nine - ((last chapter))

*Katie's POV*

It had almost been a week since the whole principal thing and for once I was perfectly happy with how my life was going right now.

Calum and I couldn't be doing any better, there was no other drama, Freya was hardly ever in so she never bothered us and the school in general, for once was okay.

I don't know if it was because we were graduating on Saturday that they just decided to be nice to us for the last week but I liked it anyway.

"All I'm saying is we have to do something" Michael said.

"Did you do anything?" I asked Ashton as I wiped the counter.

"Well no, I didn't graduate, I just left.." He shrugged, "But you definitely have to do something, it's tradition."

"What are we going to do though? We can't exactly ruin the school, it's already shit" Luke shrugged as he leaned on the counter.

Michael, Ashton, Luke and I were hanging out at Starbucks. Calum was out for a dinner with Joy and Mali before she goes away, I got invited but I had to work to pay for the police fee, plus I didn't want to intrude on family time.

"I don't know guys, what if we get into so much trouble that we don't get to graduate?" I asked unsure as I ate a strawberry.

"They can't stop the whole class from graduating" Michael stated, "Then there wouldn't be a graduation."

"He does have a point" Janet, the co-worker added in walking past.

"Did you do something?" Luke asked her, Janet was round about Ashton's age, maybe a bit older but she was cool.

"Uh yeah, our whole class decided to bring in toilet roll and whipped cream and we covered the place with it, some people put a water slide down the stairs and all the pupils had to use it" She began laughing, "Oh it was great" She said as we all laughed too.

"See, let's do something like that!" Michael laughed.

"Why does it have to be something bad, why not something good to remember it by?" I suggested.

"Like what?" Luke asked.

"Do a concert or something I don't know, invite the teachers, just make it happy in that dump for once?" I shrugged as I walked over to the cash machine to take someone's order.

Turns out the guys liked my idea of having a concert, but there was one condition. It would be a foam party/glow in the dark.

Basically Michael wanted foam and Luke wanted glow in the dark so they combined them both.

I don't know why we got to decide what happened but ever since the protest everyone thought we were 'brave' for standing up to the school.

"Okay so," Michael said as he slid into his seat next to me in Chemistry, "The stage is here, and this will be the food..." He began rambling on about how this party was going to be set out.

"Michael if you put the food here, then the foam will get on it" I said laughing.

"Shit!" Michael said as he ripped up the piece of paper, "Okay nevermind that plan then."

"You could have-" I sighed, but gave up and started laughing.

"Michael, Katie, are we keeping you?" Mrs Waters asked turning round from writing on the board.

"Technically not because we're graduating on Saturday" Michael laughed as other classmates joined in.

"Oh Michael, I'll miss your sense of humour" She chuckled shaking her head as she continued to write on the board.
