*Katie's POV*

"Hi, how can I help you?" I asked as the customer approached the counter.

I took their order and wrote their name on the cup before passing it to Ashton, he was working today and so was I.

After handing the full cup over I sighed. The shop was extremely quiet today which was strange.

I leaned against the counter and saw Ashton approaching me.

"Hey.." He said leaning next to me.

"Hi." I said dryly.

"So are you like still mad at me?.."

"Pretty much, you treated me like shit Ashton."

"I know, I know and I regret it so much, I really do Katie, just please, can we be friends?"

"Do you still talk to Freya?" I asked him as I folded my arms.

"No, I promise I don't, I'm such a dick and honestly I only went with her to make you jealous."

"Wow, honestly Ashton, you are too kind." I said sarcastically, rolling my eyes.

"I'm sorry" He said, again.

I sighed and nodded, "Fine, I guess eventually we will be friends again."

I didn't want to lose the small amount of people I had, so forgive and forget, right?

"Katie, Katie, Katie, Katie, Katie" I turned round to see Calum running up to the counter. I chuckled slightly as I looked at him as he caught his breath.

"What?" I laughed.

"I have literally asked everyone in this town if they know a drummer, and not one person knows one!" He threw his hands up in the air while continuing to catch his breath.

"Well Ashton's a drummer" I pointed and shrugged as we looked at him, he was serving customers.

"Seriously, that douche?"

"Calum." I gave him a stern look, "I forgave him."

"Why would you forgive him?"

"I forgave you, didn't I?"

He just gulped and nodded, "Fine, I'll ask" He walked over Ashton and I watched as they talked to one another.

After my shift was done I headed home, I didn't get the chance to ask Calum how things went with Ashton.

I opened the door and heard shouting coming from the kitchen.

"Calum, I'm sorry, with your dad gone, I just don't know if we can have her stay here" I heard Joy say.

"Then I'll pay! I'll get a job, I'll get 5 if I need to! You can't just kick her out! She'll have nowhere to go!" Calum shouted back as I gulped.

"Obviously I don't want to kick her out but we're tight on money right now" She said in her soft voice.

I sighed and went up the stairs to my room.

I went under my bed and pulled out my suitcase before I started putting my things in it.

Someone knocked at my door and I already knew it was Calum.

After a few seconds, he opened the door and poked his head round it as I continued to pack my things.
