*Katie's POV*
"Katie?"
"That's me" I said walking forward to the counter and picking up my drink. Calum was in a shit mood before I left so I wanted to get out there as quick as possible, so I went to Starbucks.
I looked at my phone and walked towards the door. I wasn't walking for too long though because soon I was on the ground, after being hit by a door.
"Oh my god, I'm so sorry" I heard a strong Australian voice say from above me. He held out his hand to help me up.
It was then I realised I had spilled my drink all over me.
"Well thanks-" I said about to shout at this person, it wasn't until I looked up and saw this boy with curly locks looking at me apologetically.
"I-I-you-" I said stuttering suddenly forgetting what I was about to say.
"I'm so sorry!" I took his hand and stood up.
"It's alright" I said giving in to the adorable boy.
"Please let me buy you another drink, and I'll even buy you another top if you want?"
"You don't need to buy me another top" I laughed.
Then everything changed.
He giggled.
It was such an adorable giggle.
"Well I definitely need to buy you another drink" I simply nodded.
We walked up to the counter but he opened the gate and walked behind it
"Um.. I don't think you're allowed behind there" I looked around at everyone.
He giggled and took his leather jacket off and put on a Starbucks apron.
"Actually I think I am" He chuckled and said 'hello' to some workers.
"Oh.." I said, feeling my cheeks warm into a pink shade.
"So, that drink looks like a.." He looked behind me to where the cup was, "Pumpkin Spiced latte?"
I nodded, smiling a bit.
I knew that this drink was the most basic drink you could get but honestly, I loved it.
He returned the smile and went to make the drink.
"So, what's your name?" He asked me, looking over his shoulder while he made his drink.
"Katie" I replied "and you are..?"
"Ashton."
"Ashton." I repeated quietly, nodding.
"So where are you off to?" He asked handing me the cup.
"Thanks, um I'm going to school actually" I felt really young because he was working which means he must be way old, but I will admit he was cute.
"You can't go to school like that, here take this" He handed me his red flannel and I put it over my (long sleeved) white top. Surprisingly it matched perfectly with my outfit.
"Thank you" I laughed slightly.
"No problem" he said, "Well I'll see you later, I really am sorry by the way."
"See ya, it's okay" I nodded reassuringly.
I couldn't help but smile while I walked to school, it was weird when I left the house this morning I was in a terrible mood because of Calum being his usual self but now, even though I had a drink all down my t-shirt, I had a smile on my face. And I wasn't sure why.
