Chapter 23- Light

3 years later...

"Mommy! Uncle Hyunjin is here!" Wheein smiled seeing her cousin Hyun-jin.  So many things happened. After that night. Moonbyul didn't come back leaving Wheein a letter. At first, Wheein didn't accept it. She got depressed, Jeongyeon knew about her depression the time when she visited Wheein and Leaving Gabriella with her wife Nayeon. Jeongyeon saw her crying every single night. Every passing second. Leading her to isolate Gabriella from her own Mother. Jeongyeon stayed by her cousin's wife's side. Hating her cousin, that no time if she saw her. She will attack her. 

The audacity to leave wheein is just she can't imagine what she can do to her own cousin. Jeongyeon cursed at her for leaving her family with the words I love you. Leaving Wheein when she was the one who wanted to get married to her. The audacity to make them forget her, Wheein starves herself so much. Not eating any single meal that time. Jeongyeon can only watch her kill herself by not eating anything. She's so skinny at that time, But her body shape is changing in a way that it's not really losing. Wheein experience morning sickness, and after that, she kept eating a lot like she hasn't eaten anything for months.

At first, Jeongyeon doesn't want to give hunches about it and just told herself that Wheein just wants to eat because of exhaustion. But, Jeongyeon rushed her to the hospital because Wheein fainted in front of her. Jeongyeon was in a pure panic like it's really her priority that does her cousin's work. She hated her cousin so much. The doctors ran the test on her while Jeongyeon waits for the result. "Doctor, Is she fine?" The doctor just gave her a smile with his words, Jeongyeon felt a light, of happiness and nervousness all in one. "She's pregnant" Ever since Jeongyeon knew about Wheein being pregnant with Moonbyul's child again. She made sure that she will stay at her side until she gives birth. She told it to Nayeon and her wife is very excited to for her niece's sibling.

After that day, Wheein changed.  She cared for herself again. Bringing back her sense. But she still cries occasionally. It was Moonbyul's, She has another reason to be sad. She wanted Moonbyul to be with her. Like what when it was Gabriella. She wanted Moonbyul to assist her in going up the stairs. Cooking breakfast for her. Protecting her. But it's not her now. She misses her because she loves her. Until Days, Months, Years passed without Moonbyul next to her. But when her daughter came back with Jeongyeon's family's help and support. She's able to find herself again, forgetting Moonbyul. And her cousin Hyunjin, who came back from New-Zealand.

"Hey Noona, Hello Baby Star" Hyunjin took Star from Wheein playing with her little nephew. Star because of Moonbyul. She still wanted Moonbyul to be part of his son. But not the way she wanted to see her again. For, now her life is complete, everything on her is complete.

She can hear the murmurs from the people beside her. What pull the plugs? She tried to move her hand. The doctors were in shock to see her hand move. "Wa-water" The nurse in charge gets water for the patient back to life. Moonbyul regained her consciousness for how many years she's been sleeping in the same bed, without any word. Moonbyul looked around finding the place unfamiliar. It wasn't her house anyway. "Where am I?" She asked, the nurse came back with a clipboard in her hand. 

"You're in the Hospital Ms. Moon" The nurse coldly says rummaging over her clipboard. Moonbyul doesn't remember why is she in there. And what did she miss? " Why? What's the reason? And what did I miss?" She asked. Then a doctor came entering her room. With the other doctors following her. Moonbyul was creeped out on their smile. What's going on. " Thank God, That you are finally awake Ms. Moon. You're wife Ms. Lee Dahee will be happy to see you" She was stunned, Dahee is not her wife, It's Wheein what the-. Moonbyul shook her head, "No, She's not my wife, Wheein is my wife where is she?" Moonbyul objected. The doctors looked at each other.

" Do you think the coma made her imagine things?" Moonbyul glared at the doctor who said that. She wasn't imagining things, It was wheein her wife. " No doubt, She's been in a coma for 3 years. Moonbyul froze hearing what the other doctor said. She was in a coma? For 3 years. She looked at herself, her hair has grown longer. " No! I want to go back to my family, Let me go!" Moonbyul was stopped by the wires still on her the machine that is still moving.

" Ms. Moon, Ok After we ran one last test you can go home" Moonbyul sighed in defeat. For three years she missed everything. And her wife might be clueless about her whereabouts. She's worried. The wires were slowly being removed from her while she just lay there soullessly at the ceiling. Her hair scattered around. 

When the nurses left. Moonbyul finds herself walking around the room. Where everything was white. Like an isolation room away from her love ones. She just needed to wait before going back to Wheein. On her peripheral view, he noticed a scissor on the table. She grabbed it and take it to the restroom. Where she stares at herself in the mirror. Her broad shoulders were gone, her aura turned pale. She lifted the scissor to her hair attempting to cut it. " Want some help?" She was startled by a nurse.

"So who is Wheein" The nurse who is Nurse. Yoo asked while she cuts her hair. Moonbyul just let her do the work. "She's My Wife, My real wife" Still cutting her hair, while they sat at Moonbyul's bed. Moonbyul wasn't really into talking her problems to other people. But she has the past she just can't let go. "Then who's Dahee to you?" Moonbyul sighed, she will just tell a stranger about her story in life. " My Affair..." There was a brief silence, the only notice is from the cutting of the scissor. 

" It's the best time for you to cut your hair...you know my Mom used to tell me before... Your hair is the witness of your mistakes because it's always with you. So when you cut your hair, it's your time to change and go back to your normal life." Moonbyul nodded, The nurse has a point, hair everywhere. Witness or not she needed to change, but the question is will her wife forgive her. "Will she forgive me?"

"If she loves you more than anything, She will. You just need to give effort, Like when you were dating, Trust me she will love it and will find her way back to you" The nurse gave her back the scissor before leaving. Her hair is shorter how. If she loves me she will give me a chance to change.
