Chapter 29- Better than I thought

In the Midnight, Jeongyeon drove Moonbyul. She saw her in a convenience store eating Tayaki alone. Her cousin told her about Hyunjin and Gabbi thinking that she's happy about that but. It's not her true concern. But she doesn't know how to trust her in any way. They are heading to a place where Moonbyul's affair lives. To talk to her and to have closure. To know what she did to Moonbyul and her family. Jeongyeon at first finds the idea very absurd, half of it is still anger. But when Moonbyul wanted to then her cousin needs to be there.

Moonbyul and Jeongyeon entered the condo Unit looking around. Then they heard stepping noises approaching them. Jeongyeon fished out her phone, quickly dialing Wheein's number and hiding it on her back Until..." Oh byul, you're still alive" Dahee greeted them. Moonbyul coldly glared at her.

Moonbyul and Jeongyeon drove back to Suwon, The time said 12:00 PM, but Moonbyul doesn't feel like sleeping. There are so many things that happened half of it is revelations and half of it are stinging words. Jeongyeon still drove her car, since Moonbyul wasn't in a mood to move nor to talk. She doesn't know how to tell her wife about what happened to her. Nor hug her daughter or carry her son.

Jeongyeon heard everything they talked about. Now that she fully understands everything about her cousin. How she suffered. How she ended up leaving Wheein, and how she ended up being in a coma for three years. Dahee even tried to kill her. And everything Dahee confessed. Moonbyul didn't react violently instead she listened to Dahee. How she played with her and what she feels about Moonbyul made her do those things.

Moonbyul understands Everything she did is unacceptable. How she played with two women at once. How Dahee, didn't intend to wreck her car, and How Dahee doesn't like the fact that she has hurt so many people. Especially Moonbyul, the person she thought who loves her. Insulting her daughter and wife. Dahee knows there's no way Byul will leave them. Byul loves them more than she loves anything living.

"Hey, We're here" Jeongyeon calmly said. She can't paint Moonbyul expression as they step out of the car. Moonbyul looks pale and wanted to rest. Jeongyeon felt like she is beaten up by her cousin's agony. Moonbyul never felt sad and depressed before. and everything for her is the first time. " Unnie, I'm sorry" Jeongyeon apologizes feeling bad, not understanding, and listening to her cousin. Because she beat her up when she came entering their life again. Moonbyul smiled patting her cousin's shoulder telling her it's ok.

Moonbyul walked upstairs, to the balcony. Looking far away. Where she knows she can reach her friend on the moon. In times she feels like ending her life. She just looks up to the night sky smiling at her friend. Ever since childhood, Moonbyul already has someone to comfort her even if it's far from her. she can feel him embracing her. Hoping that her friend would forgive her too. " It's been a long time when I saw you, I've slept well for 3 years but I'm still thankful that I found my way back home. I'm better than I thought. But I need someone. I need my Jung Wheein to come back" Moonbyul cried wishing to the moon, give her answers. Hope her to be with the person she loves again.

"If no, Just take me instead...In that case, I won't feel myself melting in shame... In that case, I won't see everybody hurting because of me...In that case, I won't cause any more heartbreak"

Moonbyul was startled by a familiar someone. turning around, revealing the person she loves with all her heart. Not even a bullet can kill her love for this person. Wheein stood there glaring at Byul with tears flowing out of her eyes. "Is this how selfish you are? Thinking only of yourself huh? how about me? How about Gabriella? How about Gabbi- ARE YOU THAT SELFISH TO DIE!?"

" How come you can still hide your pain from me?!"

" How can you last hiding? For 3 years, I thought you abandoned us! But it looks like that we are the one who abandoned you!"

Moonbyul hugged Wheein even though the girl is hitting her chest. Mad because of the things she thought. Truth, that only compares them. Things that never felt like changing. Moonbyul didn't go anywhere. She was left alone not the one who left them alone. But she accepted everything. Because she knows it's the only way to go back.

" I'm sorry...I'm sorry Wheein ah" Wheein calmed but still crying on Moonbyul chest. clenching Moonbyul shirt in anger. Moonbyul felt sorry for everything she did. The lies and the tears that she caused them. The years that felt like decades of separation.

" I don't know how to tell you... I don't know if you can still trust me... I don't know if we can still be a family, Because of what I did, I feel useless. This is not what I promised your Mom. I promised her to love you unconditionally, But what I always do is to break your heart, I can't stand it, It's killing me"

Now that they both know, what they are doing to each other. Moonbyul now realized that the only and the only person that she can truly go home is Wheein. Her home is Wheein. the only door she will knock at night. That's how she loves her.

Wheein squeezed Moonbyul's cheeks dragging her for a passionate kiss. The lips where they hungered. The heartbeats that only them can do. It feels Nostalgic to have each other back. Like the birds who found a new home. A lost puppy, who journey to find its Mother. They feel like being in love. By the moment, Nothing to think about just the two of them under the Moonlight.
