Sunghoon woke up to the sound of his bell ringing. He groaned as he rolled out of bed to meet Jay. As he was walking to the door he glanced at himself in the mirror and was horrified by what he saw. His hair was sticking out and his eyes were puffy.
'If 'hungover,' was a person,' Sunghoon thought to himself. 'It would be me.'
The bell rang again and Sunghoon rolled his eyes. Why was Jay ringing the bell when he knew Sunghoon's password? Sunghoon rolled his eyes as he yelled out, "Just come in!"
He grabbed some apple juice from the fridge and began to gulp it down when he heard a familiar beeping noise as his front door opened.
Sunghoon took another drink of juice as he turned around to see...
Jake?
"PHEEW"
Juice flew from Sunghoon's nose when he realized that the boy standing in front of him was not who he was expecting at all.
"Are you okay?" Jake exclaimed in a surprised tone as he rushed to help a viciously coughing Sunghoon, but Sunghoon held his hand up to stop Jake from coming.
Sunghoon added a burning pain in his nose to his list of the physical inconveniences he was experiencing - right up there with his splitting headache and rumbling stomach. Not to mention, his psychological inconveniences which, first place at the moment, was that someone he had feelings for just watched him spew juice from his nose. Well, maybe not feelings, but stirrings at the very least.
Sunghoon wanted to dig a hole in the ground so that he could jump in and bury himself. Although the pain was getting better, Sunghoon still couldn't lift his head out of embarrassment.
When he finally did, he saw Jake with a concerned look on his face.
'Damn it,' he thought to himself. 'Why does he always have to look so good.'
"Are you okay?" he heard Jake ask.
Sunghoon cleared his throat as he tried to muster up the nerve to overcome this mortifying situation.
"Yeah, thanks for asking," he replied as he unsuccessfully tried to flatten his hair to seem presentable. "Um... Why are you here?"
Jake shyly looked away from Sunghoon's face as he said, "Well... You seemed sick so I brought you some soup."
Sunghoon lowered his eyes to see that indeed, Jake was holding a bag with what Sunghoon assumed to be soup inside.
"Oh... Well, thank you." Sunghoon said as he took the bag Jake held out to him.
"I don't know if it'll help... I don't know what works with hangovers, but my mom used to make me soup when I got sick so..."
