Years ago, the Atkinson family owned all the power in the city. People looked up to them and they had no one to compete with. In this day and age money, power and respect seem to be all that matters to many. The Atkinson family had a nanny, Mary, for their young child. Mary had a son who she cherished and loved so preciously. But the Atkinson family were cold, and it was not long before Mary's final hopes for both her and her son were crushed. After tragedy struck, no one knew what became of Mary's only child.
"This is not the last you will hear from me. I am coming, and I thrive for revenge. Let justice be served."
Is that story familiar to you? It is a story that has certainly been told before. Though most of the time, may I add, the story tends to be told a little out of context. But now you will know everything.
David Atkinson hired a nanny, Mary, when Riley Atkinson was young. Previously, Riley's mother had taken care of her, however her mother was diagnosed with cancer and spent a lot of time in hospital. Mary was dependent on her job as Riley's nanny because it was the only money she was earning to not only look after herself, but also her son.
Her son was grateful and kind, and he adored his mother and appreciated her in every way a son could. They had a mother and son bond like no other. It had always been just them, ever since the boy's father left them when he was newly born.
But one night when Mary was working late, she found out something dreadful about David Atkinson. It was the kind of thing not to be ignored, so with all the courage she had, she confronted David Atkinson. Sadly, this was a huge mistake.
She should have gone straight to the police, because instead David Atkinson took power of the situation to ensure no one could ever know. Mary vowed to destroy him over what she knew, but David Atkinson got to destroying her before she got the chance.
David was the one with the money, the power and the influence and Mary could not stand against him. What is worst, is that David Atkinson knew about Mary's situation and how it was only her and her son; she had no other income. And he ignored this and fired her anyway. Not only did he fire her, but he also made sure she never rebuilt herself to the point she could take him on.
Because of David Atkinson's unchallenged authority, Mary couldn't get a job and her and her son were forced onto the streets. Three years later, Mary passed away. She wanted to live for her son, but her body couldn't cope with the rough conditions and hunger any longer.
David Atkinson heard of her death and he thought his momentary career jeopardy was over, however there was one thing he missed. Mary's son had been told every detail of what happened with the slight exception of what exactly it was that Mary found out about David Atkinson. Mary didn't tell him that because she was scared herself of what she discovered.
Mary's son adored his mother, and he found David Atkinson revolting. He was too powerful, too cocky, undefeated, rich, snobby, ignorant and purely evil. As a gift to his deceased mother, he promised never to rest until he got the revenge he longed for. He would never lead a normal life until he believed David Atkinson got what he deserved. Revenge was all that consumed the boy's mind, even from a youthful age.
The boy was smart, he knew if he were to get back at David Atkinson, he would have to match his power. No poor, street boy could take him on. So, the boy began to build a foundation. He read books on business, and he studied hard.
The boy didn't have money, but he had more motivation anyone could need in a lifetime. He knew he could make it because he had a reason, and that reason was worth fighting for. However, vengeance is bitter, so he was always told by his mother. He was told anyone will regret seeking vengeance and make mistakes, but the boy looked ignored this, blinded by his need for justice.
