By the time we got back to the chalet, we were freezing from all the times we had thrown snow at one another. We both pulled of our 'waterproof' layers, but even the clothing underneath was soaking. I shivered.

"Come on, let's put something warm on." He then lifted me up and carried me toward the room.

"You have to stop lifting me up or next time I might have to kick you."

I put on Parker's hoodie and joggers because I had not yet unpacked my clothes. The joggers barely stayed up, but at least they were warm and comfy. We gravitated toward the fire and put the TV on. He lay on the sofa with a blanket over himself.

I joined him and lay pretty much on top of him because he was warm, and I pulled the blanket over both of us. We were still exhausted from getting so little sleep the night before, so it wasn't long before we fell asleep.

The next day was amazing too. In my opinion, I was mastering the art of skiing, however Parker's jokes said otherwise. In the evening, we went to a restaurant that was on the top of a mountain.

Parker, of course, knew I wasn't a big restaurant person, but that one wasn't like the restaurants I hated. It was quiet, and personal and it wasn't too fancy. And the view was well worth it.

He organised for us to be taken back down in a sled sort of thing that was pulled by a snowmobile. It was great, because we got to go fast without the struggle of me falling over every three seconds.

When we got back, Parker showed me a room that was slightly smaller than the one we had unpacked our belongings in. But there was a window seat with an amazing view across the mountains at the edge of the room.

"I thought we could look out at the view for a while before we go to sleep." He said as we walked toward the window bay.

The sun was beginning to rise, yet Parker nor I had slept the slightest bit. We had remained in the window bay with the blanket across us staring out together. He leant up against the wall and I lay with my head on his chest.

His hand was in my hair and he repetitively stroked my head with his thumb. We were getting tired but sleeping felt like I waste of time. We both preferred savouring the beautiful moment.

"Thank you for taking me here, Parker." I murmured breaking the silence for the first time in a while of us sitting there.

"There is no place in this world I would rather be." He replied. I sat up next to him and leant of his shoulder.

"Parker, I'm serious. Don't brush my thanks off. I about so happy with you, being here. In the country I have wanted to visit for the entirety of my life, though I have never been able to travel here. You make everything possible. I couldn't be gladder to be here with you, and I dread to think how different my life would be had I never met you. I would have probably been murdered by my stepmother by now, or at least I would be far from here. Far from this happiness."

He smiled and he leant round so he was facing me.

"I was serious too. Riley, you are beautiful, kind, intelligent, independent, determined, funny, honest, strong and a terrible skier." He snorted at his last comment and I looked at him completely unimpressed. "I am the one who could not be luckier to be here with you."

With that, in one swift movement I pulled his face to mine and kissed him with all the passion I had in my soul. His arms snaked around my back like a reflex, and I knelt leaning across him. I shuffled closer beside him and our kiss grew stronger. And I noticed that now, I wasn't afraid of the thing Ben made me fear. I loved Parker. More than anything and more than it could be possible to love anyone else.

"Parker... I think I... I'm ready... to..." I tried to spit my words out, but I felt nervous again. When I told him I had never slept with anyone before, he told me I could openly talk to him about that and not to be awkward. But I couldn't make myself because my rational mind was overthrown by my nerves.

"I told you that you didn't have to feel awkward, didn't I?" He sighed. "Riley, I took you on this trip because I care about you and I want to spend time with you as well as take you to the country you have always wanted to go to. You told me not that long ago you weren't ready, and that doesn't have to change because I took you here. I said I would never expect anything from you; please understand I still feel that way. I want it to be the right moment for you, OK gorgeous?" He raised my head a little with his fingertip.

"I'm not just saying it because we are here. I genuinely do want to, if you do, if you don't tell me." I said trying not to let my voice fault. He smiled softly and wisely.

"I do, you know that. But we have all the time in the world to be together and if we were to wait forever, I would still be happy just being with you. I don't think you understand that it is not nearly as important as you being ready and I just want to spend time with you." I gulped and I realised if I wanted to show him, I didn't just feel pressured, or whatever he thought, I was going to need to be a little more confident. I began placing small kisses along his jawline and his breath faltered.

"Riley..." He muttered suddenly less confident as how he was speaking before.

"Yes." I said and I let my lips brush across his jaw as I spoke. I let my kiss slide down to his neck.

"I don't know if you are sure." He stated as neutrally as he could.

"Well, I am sure. Take what I am saying as you please, yet that is a fact." I said as I raised my head up to face him again.

The next day, Summer called whilst Parker was still sleeping. She was asking me all about how Italy was. I told her about when we had gone onto the long slope late at night and how freezing it was before she suddenly paused and stopped replying.

"Summer?"

"Oh my gosh!" She exclaimed. "You and Parker slept together, didn't you? And you were planning not to tell me?" She hissed passively.

"No, I didn't really think it was necessary for you to know to be honest." I replied glumly.

"So it is true. Not that I doubted myself, it is pretty obvious just from the way you are talking. And it's best friend duties, of course I needed to know, it should have been the first thing you told me when you picked up the phone."

After what felt like forever, I managed to get her off the phone. I went to the bathroom to brush my teeth.

I received a text message and checked my phone. The message was from Noah, which seemed a little random. We were friends, me and Noah, but we weren't exactly the texting type of friends. What was weirder was that he sent me an audio message, and that seemed pretty random.

As I listened to the audio, I began to realise what he was telling me. And my heart was shattering. I had no breath left in my lungs, and I stood motionless. As the audio ended and it was abundantly clear what I had been told, my phone slipped out of my hand and it landed flat on the hard, slabbed floor.

I heard the door creek open as Parker entered, yet I remained frozen and mute. I could feel the blood run away from my head as I turned paler and began feeling faint.

"Riley? What's wrong? Are you alright?" He murmured sounding worried. Worried? Was he serious? F*cking fake worry. How dare he. The sheer audacity. I snapped out of my shock.

"Parker, you liar! Tell me this isn't true! Tell me Noah is lying, for goodness sake! TELL ME!"
