ANDREA
My breath hitched as I stared at the handsome hulk standing in front of me giving handshake to my dad. He was introducing himself to my dad. His voice s so intimidating, his blue eyes, his perfect jaws, his lips, his muscles were bulging out of his grey coloured suit. He looks like a perfect model.
"Stop eye f*ucking him Drea ." I was cut off by a whisper. It was Drew who was standing beside me. I glared at him.
Dylan Knight came and stood in front of us and forwarded his right hand for a hand shake towards Drew.
"You must be Andrew Jefferson! Though it's my first time meeting you, but I have heard a lot about your achievements." He said to Drew with a contended smile plastered in his face.
"Pleasure to meet you sir. Thanks for your compliment." Drew replied.
Suddenly he focused his attention towards me. I smiled at him with respect.
"Andrea, I didn't know that Matt had a beautiful daughter like you." He surprised me by giving a fatherly hug. I thought he would only offer me a handshake just like he gave one to Drew. My eyes widened at his gesture. He released me from the hug but still kept his right hand on my shoulder and faced my dad.
"Why did you keep her hidden all this time, Matt?" Mr. Knight asked my father with a small laugh.
"It was her decision to see unnoticed. She doesn't like to be in front of media and all." My dad replied.
"Well, that was a good decision dear." Mr. Knight said and released me from his arms.
"Thank you, Mr. Knight."
"Oh, cut the formalities. You can call me Dylan or dad. After all we are becoming family, isn't it right Matt?" My father nodded his head agreeing to Dylan Knight.
"You are a perfect choice for my Adam." He patted my cheek lovingly and looked at Adam who was standing there with a boring expression. Seeing his dad's look, he forced a small smile.
"Dad will you just stand there talk to your future daughter-in-law or will you introduce us to her?" The younger man said, much more in a whining child.
"Oh I forgot. Where are my manners? I forgot to introduce them. This is my brother Damien Knight." He said referring to the man who looked extremely dangerous.
"Jacob Knight, my younger son." Jacob gave a handshake first to my dad and then to Drew. I quickly averted my gaze when he winked at me.
"And this is my elder son, my treasure, Adam Knight, your future son-in-law, Matt." My dad just smiled at Dylan's comment while my brother scowled at him. Adam kept a neutral expression. He extended his hand towards me. I kept my small hand in his large palm. When our hand connected , a jolt of electricity passed through my veins. Butterflies began to erupt from my stomach. I think he also felt like that, he suddenly withdrew hand.
Right then, Juliana as I remember entered the room. "Sir, Mr. Sanders has arrived. Shall I tell him to come in?" She asked to Dylan.
"Yes, tell him to come in." By saying that he dismissed her.
Within minutes, a middle aged man, probably in his fifties entered the room.
"Since our lawyer also arrived, we shall start the meeting." Dylan clasped his both hands together and gestured at to be seated. I sat between my dad and Drew. Adam sat right opposite to me. On his left side sat his dad, and on his right, Jake. Next to Jake was their uncle. Both of our lawyers stood in the middle.
Mr. Reeds gave one file to their lawyer. "So, this is the contract. We have added some clause, which both parties have to obey. Otherwise, the one who disobeys it, will lose their property to the other. Do you have anything to say to it Mr. Knight?" Both Dylan and Adam shaked their head. He began to read the contract .
I listened to each and every word clearly. But, in middle of it, I sense someone's eyes on me. I raised my head, only to meet a pair of blue eyes. He was scrutinizing me with his glare. His eyes were devoid of any emotion. I got lost in his mesmerising oceanic blue eyes. It was like, he was trying to read me. I didn't know how long we stared into each other, until his lawyer handed him the contract paper's to sign.
Adam read the contract and signed it. He handed it back to our lawyer. Then it was my turn to sign. It states that we have to stay loyal to each other..... and the usual blah ,blah, blah.... So I didn't waste anytime to sign.
"So that's it. I will give a copy of this contract as soon as possible, Mr. Knight." Mr. Reeds said and put the original copy of the contract in his brief case.
We all stood up from our seats. My dad hugged Dylan Knight. "We are soon going to be a family, Matt." Dylan said excitedly. Soon they started their chit-chat. Adam and Drew were talking to their respective lawyers. Jacob came and stood in front of me.
"Hello, beautiful sister-in-law. I am Jacob by the way, but you can call me Jake." He said and enveloped in a bear hug. Since I was only 5'5 , I could barely reached his chest. He was tall, like 6'2 or something. And his brother was taller than him. Maybe around 6'4. I should practice wearing heels all the time.
He released me from the hug. " I think, we are gonna be very good friends." I really liked Jake, because he was very friendly and always had this smile plastered to his face unlike his brother who only glared at me all the time.
I nodded in agreeing with him. "Jake, actually I am hosting an art exhibition young talented and aspiring artist this Friday. Would you like to come to the event?" I asked in hope that he would say yes.
"Ofcourse milady. It would be an honour." He said excitedly.
"Ok, I will send you an invitation letter." I said and extended my hand for a handshake. But he pulled for another hug.
"Drea , shall we leave. Dad is waiting for us." Drew interrupted us from our conversation.
"Yeah, sure. I will just say my farewell to Mr. Knight." I said to Drew and walked towards Dylan Knight who was standing beside their lawyer. Seeing me, he dismissed Mr. Sanders and smiled at me.
"Mr. Knig---- Sorry, Dylan." I corrected myself when he gave me a pointed look. I chuckled lightly. "It will take some time."
"No, problem Andrea. I just don't want you to consider me as a stranger." He said. "Can you promise me one thing dear?" Dylan asked me. I nodded my head.
"Promise me, that you won't leave Adam at any cost. You know he can be tough sometime. But deep inside he is a good, loving and caring person."
"Don't worry, Dylan. I will take care of him." I assured him. He smiled contently and kissed my forehead.
"My first art exhibition is on Friday. Actually it is a platform for aspiring artist. I am organising it for charity. I want you to be present there." I said and handed him an invitation card.
"Sure, dear. I would love to come." He kissed both my cheeks. I bid good bye to him and exited the conference room along with Drew and dad. When we were about to reach the elevator, a voice stopped us.
"I would like to have a word with Ms. Jefferson."
All our head snapped towards the source of the voice. There stood Adam Knight with his hands tucked in his pant's pocket leaning against the wall with full confidence.
Drew beat me before I could say anything. "No, she don't want to talk to you."
I held his arm. "Drew, let him be."
"What??"
I looked towards my father for permission. "May I, dad?"
"Yeah, sure. Me and Drew will wait in the lobby for you." He said and dragged Drew with him who was arguing with him.
I looked at Adam who was standing in my front with a smirk plastered in his face. He gestured me to follow to his office.
Lord, please save me from this devil. I picked up my courage and started to follow him to his office.
