42. BESTFRIENDS

" I don't know what's the problem? I only asked her to move in with me. It's not like I asked her directly to marry me." Zac bickered as paced around my office room.

I looked at him annoyed and went back to assess the file that was in front of me.

" Are you even listening to me Adam? It's like I am talking to a statue." He complained. I sighed and closed the file, gazed at him with a bored look.

" What's your problem?" I ask, annoyed at him.

He dramatically gasped and placed his hand right above his heart. Drama queen.

"So you didn't even listen to what I was saying. What kind of a best friend are you? " He accused as he pointed his index finger at me.

" Do you want me to listen to you, if yes then sit down and talk from the start. " I ordered.

He muttered something under his breath and took a seat in front of me.

I looked at him expectantly.

" You know Kate, Andrea's best friend right?" He asked as I looked at him irritated.

" I know who Kate is." I said.

" Do you want me to continue or not? Then don't interfere." He shouted.

" We have been seeing each other for some time. I really love her. I know she also loves me back. But she is not ready to accept it."

" Maybe because she knows that you are an asshole." I interrupted as he glared at me.

" Continue." I cleared my throat.

" She thinks that I only consider her as my latest conquest and  will leave her when I get bored of her and will chase after another woman soon." He explained.

" Well isn't that the truth?" I asked.

" Shut up Adam, I came here for some advice to convince my girl to move in with me. Not to hear you degrade me." He yelled at me causing me to look at him with wide  eyes.

" Chill bro, I was only joking." I chuckled.

" Adam it's not the time to joke, I really love her. I want to spend the rest of my life with her. Please tell me how I can convince her to move in with me?" He asked with sincerity in his voice.

" Zac, girls like Kate are hard to convince. She is not willing  to take a step forward in your relationship because she is afraid that in future you might hurt her by breaking up with her. Give her some time. Prove to her that you really love her. " I explained.

Zac looked at me as if I had grown two heads.

" I didn't even imagine that there will be one day where I will be getting classes from you on relationships." Zac exclaimed.

" Shut up, Zac and get out of my office. I have a meeting in half an  hour." I said as I dismissed him.

" Thank you bro." With that he jumped out of his seat and came around me to hug the life out of mine.

" Leave me you idiot." I said as I struggle to get out of his hold.

" Bye Adam. See you later." With that Zac was out of my office.

The front door of our new home busrt open and a very angry looking Kate marched inside.

Because of my seven month belly I wasn't able to get up from the sofa easily. As soon as I got on my feet I waddled towards Kate.

" That idiotic bestfriend of your husband will die in my arms."  She berated and I looked at her as if she has gone crazy.
