" Don't you think it's quiet suspicious?" Ashley asked as she took a bite of her sandwich.

" What are you talking about?" Kate questioned.

We were having brunch in Margaret's cafe. Ashley flew back to New York after hearing the downfall of Knight Empire.

" Knight Enterprises was among the topmost companies in New York. Suddenly the shareholders, withdrew their shares as soon as they heard that Adam Knight is no longer the CEO, as Alfred Knight's will was forged. Not to mention the rumour about Adam's embezzlement was like a icing to the cake. " She explained.

Her words strike my mind. That's true why did the shareholders withdrew their shares?

" And where did the original will of Alfred Knight's come from? Don't you think a little bit suspicious?" Ashley asked again.

" That's true, in the will it clearly states, Adam will only inherit the company, if he is married and and has a heir before he turns 30". I voiced out.

" Well, it clearly seems that someone is behind this. First the abduction of the baby and then suddenly the revelation that Alfred Knight's will is forged." Kate said bewildered.

" Whoever is playing this game , they want to hurt Adam." Ashley said.

" That's true. But who?" Kate questioned.

My mind travelled through so many scenarios trying to figure out who is behind all this.

" Christian De Luca." I said suddenly.

Kate and Ash looked at me confused.

" Do you remember the charity gala which was held almost a year ago?" Kate nodded her head.

" Christian was clearly challenging him. He was like saying snatching everything from Adam or something." I explained.

" But as if I remember what Zac said, they were college rivals. They became enemies because Eleanor ditched Adam to get married to Christian." Kate said as she took a sip of her drink.

" But there is a possibility that Christian is behind all this. He has a bad history with Adam. It can be the reason Christian abducted our baby and I think Jennifer is also helping since Adam literally dumped her." I said.

Kate and Ash looked at me bewildered.

" That's a huge accusation. We have to get proof that Christian is behind all this.Until and unless we don't have it we cannot accuse him." Ash commented.

" Ok, then I am going to find proof against Christian. " I said in determination.

" If that's your decision, then I am with you." Ash assured.

" Me too." Kate interrupted. We glared as she looked at us in confusion.

" Why? Did I say something wrong?" She questioned.

" No Kate, you are not in this as you are pregnant and we don't want to see Zac's wrath." Ash said as she rolled her eyes.

" Oh come on!! You know that I love these detective things and all." She said and wiggled her eyebrows.

" It's final Kate, you are not in this. If something happens to your baby I will never forgive myself." I explained to her.

She nodded her head in understanding.

" So from where do we start? Should we spy inside Christian's office?" Ash asked interested.

" Nope. First thing we have to do is to have a chat with Adam's family lawyer. " I said and I stood up from my seat as we have our meal.
