22. JEALOUSY AND KISSES.

My blood boiled seeing the person who was coming on our way. A big fat smile plastered on her face. I wish I could wipe it off from her way.

She dashed towards us and instantly hugged Adam completely ignoring my existence. Adam stood shocked like he was not expecting it. 

"I missed you baby." The red haired bitch Jennifer stated and was about to kiss his lips. But Adam dodged and the kiss was left on his cheek. 

"Baby....  What happened? You didn't contact me like you said that day. Why are you avoiding me baby?" She asked confused and tried to touch his cheeks.

"Jennifer, just leave and don't contact me ever again." Adam said sternly. Tears formed on her eyes as if someone stabbed her.

"What are you saying Adam? I love you and I won't leave unless you gave me a decent explanation." She placed her hands on her waist , her eyes solely focused on him.

"Listen Jennifer, just because I have been with you for one night doesn't mean that you can question me. Now leave before you make a fool out of yourself." Adam said with anger lacing his voice.

" Oh! Now you are acting like lovey- dovey husband. Don't forget that you came to me one day before your marriage." She yelled at him.

I felt like betrayed and ashamed. I wish the ground would have swallowed me.

Adam looked my way and pleaded with his eyes. But I couldn't stand there any longer. So I did the first thing that came to my mind.

Run.

I ran as fast my feet could so as to escape from them. Even though Adam shouted my name and ran after me, but I didn't dare stopped nor looked back.

I needed to escape from here. From them. From Adam.

I hailed a taxi as soon as I exited the mall. 

As soon as I entered the cab hot tears ran down my cheeks. The driver asked me if was okay. But I couldn't form any words though I nodded my head lightly.

How foolish of me to think that Adam started to like me? He was never mine from the start. He belonged to her. Only her.

I thought that something between us changed after light night. But it didn't. I shouldn't have started to care for him.

My chain of thoughts were interrupted when the driver announced that we reached our destination.

After paying and thanking the driver I exited the cab and strode towards the elevator. Throughout the elevator ride, I was contemplating whether I should go back to my home or not. But where ever I hide Adam would hunt me down.

As soon as I opened the penthouse door two arms engulfed me and  pulled me towards a hard chest. His arms tightened around me protectively, crushing me against him as I struggled to break free from his embrace.

"Thank god you are back. You know how scared I was when 

 I pushed him  with all my strength that he stumbled backward with a shock expression lacing his face.

"Isabel, baby please listen to me." He pleaded. Tears kept streaming down my eyes. I shaked my head but he grabbed both of my arms and pulled me towards his chest making me look directly into his eyes.

" Isabel you have to listen very carefully. I didn't cheated on you. I admit that I had a fling with Jennifer but that was before we got married. You know I was mad at my father for arranging my marriage and that's why I slept with her. But ever since I put this ring in your finger I did nothing but remain loyal to you. I swear on my dead mother I would never cheat on you. Trust me Isabel."

I looked into his eyes and trust me I saw nothing but sincerity so I did the first thing that crossed my mind.

I pulled his collar and slammed my lips on his. It was the first time I initiated the kiss and I don't know where this confidence came from. 

Adam was shocked at first but he responded to the kiss quickly. His lips were so soft and warm and I couldn't help but kiss him with more fervour and he retaliated with equal intense. 

" I trust you." I said in between the kiss. My voice hoarse from the kiss.

 He cupped the back of my neck with one hand and pulled me towards him, a small smile grazing his lips while his other hand circled my waist.

My one hand moved towards his hair and tugging it lightly. He moaned into the kiss and cupped my ass little too tightly. I gasped and he took advantage of it by thrusting his tongue into my mouth. We parted away due to the lack of oxygen.

Adam began peppering kisses on my jaw and slowly moved towards the base of my neck and sucked on a particular spot. I couldn't help but moan and arch backward giving him more space. 

He grabbed the back of my thigh and hoisted me up. I wrapped my legs around his waist. Adam carried me towards the living room and tossed me on the couch. 

Before I could think anything, Adam's lip's found it's way to mine. His hands went inside my shirt and  began caressing my abdomen. His touch sent shivers throughout my body.

He stopped kissing my lips and peppered kisses all around my face. I giggled when he kissed the tip of my nose. He smiled seeing me respond to his kisses.

Adam kissed the area above my right breast and sucked and bite it. I moaned lightly. He was about to take off my shirt but I stopped him by taking his hand.

"We should.. stop." I breathed out. He nodded his head understandingly.

"I am sorry. I just got carried away." He said apologetically.

 I shaked my head and pecked his lips. " No need to apologise, Adam. It's just  that I am not ready yet. I hope you understand." I said softly.

" I understand. I am not gonna pressurize you. Because you are very special to me." He caressed my hair lovingly.

I smiled lightly. "You are very special to me too." I said looking directly into his eyes.

A full smile blown into his face showcasing his dimples.

In that moment I realised that I have fallen for him.
