Somebody please tell me  why I am being dragged by my bestfriend rather than  sleeping in my bed on Saturday.  Oh Drea should I remind you that you are the who agreed to go shopping with Kate. Yeah it's already been 1 hour  since we reached here and Kate has been dragging from one shop to another didn't even purchased one dress. 

"Kate why do you want a new dress. We shopped like last month and you bought a whole wardrobe right.Then why do you want a new one." I asked after getting tired with the hunting.

"It's not for me Drea. It's for you."She said while searching through the racks for a dress.

"For me and why do I need a new dress. I have like a hell lot."I said in order to escape from this shopping drama.

"Yes you need it. Next week you have your first ever art exhibition. And you are going to be the center of attraction.You have to present yourself perfect. So that's why I am gonna select your dress. And don't give me one of your lame excuses because I am not gonna listen to you. End of the discussion." She lectured me while keeping her both hands on her waist. Just like how my mother keeps when she scolds me.

I sighed because I don't have the ability to fight with her. Because she will win at the end.Just I was going to sit the couch my phone goes off. I checked the caller ID and realized that it was mother.

 I smiled and picked up the call."Hey mom."

"Hello Drea baby. How are you? You know you didn't call me from last week." She complained.

My mother and I have a strong relationship. We are like sisters.She is my first ever bestfriend. Andrew always envied me because whenever we are together with mother her full attention will be focused towards me.

"Mom you know that I was busy with my exhibition and I even texted you that I can't contact you for a few days." I reasoned out my current situation.

"I know baby and I m so proud of you for who you are today. And after your exhibition you will be not only known as Matthew Jefferson's daughter but also as a talented artist." 

I smiled." Thanks mom. Is there any purpose that you called me?"

"Actually your father wanted to discuss something with you. So I called you to join us for dinner. Since Drew and Mia has returned from their journey they will also be here."

"What? When did Drew arrived?" I asked shockingly.

My brother Andrew Jefferson and his wife Mia has gone to Italy two weeks ago for a vacation.

"This morning." She replied snapping me out of my trance.

"Why didn't he informed me that he has returned?"  I complained.

"You young lady should I remind you that , it was you who had been neglecting our calls." She scolded me.

I groaned.  "Oh mom. Don't start again." 

She sighed. "Will you join us for dinner?"

"Of course I don't want to miss the chance to meet my cute little nephew right?" I exclaimed.

Yes Drew and Mia have a 9 month old cute baby boy Axel. He was with his mother's parents in Florida when they left for Italy.

"OK. Make sure that you reach here by 8."

"Sure. Love you mom."

"Love you too baby."

 I ended the calls and turn towards Kate who was having a conflict in picking between two dresses.

"Drea which one?" Kate asked me holding two dress in her hand.She raised her eye brow expecting me to select one.

In her right hand was a dark red satin dress which reached up to mid-thigh but it was backless. So I rejected it immediately. I don't like to wear dresses which showed too much skin.

"This one." I pointed at the dress which was on her left hand.

"Ok it is then. By the way who was on the phone?" She inquired.

"It was mom. She invited me to have dinner at our house."

"Ok good." We exited the shop after paying for the dress. Kate also bought a dress for herself. Then we shopped for some matching accessories.

It was 5:30 when I reached my place after dropping Kate at her's.  I was damn tired of all shopping so I decided to take a nap. I have to reach my parent's place only at 8. Still I have time to get ready.
