ANDREA

I stared at my reflection as I stood in front of the full- length mirror. The cream coloured wedding dress hugged my body like a second skin revealing all my curves. It was a mermaid scoop neck  sweep train lace wedding dress with beading sequins. My waist length chestnut brown hair was tied in a elegant bun with few strands falling into the front.

"You're beyond stunning

"You're beyond stunning. Absolutely beautiful, Drea." Mia said with tears in her eyes. I just smiled at her. She put the veil on my head  shielding my face.  She then hugged me tightly.

"Can I have a word with my daughter, Mia?" My father's voice interrupted our little interaction. Mia just nodded her head and went outside.

"You look very beautiful, Princess." He said and kissed my forehead. Dad's eyes moistened a little and  I realised it must be a big occasion for him,  to watch  me getting married. He was more than just a father to me. He was my best friend, my teacher, my role model, my adviser, everything.

"I am so happy for you." He said  wiping the wetness from his face.

"Dad....". I said and hugged him hiding my face in his chest. "You are the best dad in this world." I whispered fighting my own tears.

"I know I am doing injustice to you. Whatever I am doing, it's  for your own good. Please don't hate me, pumpkin." He said and released me from the hug.

"What are you saying dad? I can never hate you. I will die before I start hating you."

"Bonding time over, Matt. It's my time to be with my daughter." My mother barged inside the room and shoved father away.

"Hey!!! I that's not fair. I still have so many things to talk to her." Dad complained.

"Tell her, after the wedding. Because it's mother- daughter time. You get out." Mom pointed at the door.

I laughed seeing their cute little fight.  I envy their love.

"Drea, this belonged to your grandmother, and when I got married she gifted me. Now I am giving it you."  She said and handed me a simple  gold  pendant which matched my outfit. She helped in wearing it.

 She helped in wearing it
