Oswaldo’s P.O.V

My what?

Oh shit! The look Melody has on her face does not look good. As cute as her frowned brow and narrowed eyes look, I know it’s also deadly. I just got this girl to agree to have a real relationship with me, now this shit happens. I’m not saying that Melody has anything to worry about, because she don’t. I only love her and she’s the only girl I wanna love. Sure I loved Lisa once, but I’ve stopped loving her long before I met Melody.

“No you’re not! No she’s not, Mel.”

I pushed a clinging Lisa off of me and went to Mel. I saw her breathe a small relief breath. I could have sworn I saw fear in her eyes for a few seconds, but it went just as fast as it came.

I slipped my hands around her waist and pulled her to me. Her body was shaking slightly. I pull her a little closer, letting her know that everything is ok. I feel her body relax slightly. I turn and look at Lisa.

“Lisa, meet Melody, my beautiful girlfriend.”

I think the look Lisa gave Mel was intended to burn her alive on the spot. Mel was not bothered by it though. I turned to my side and saw Max smirking at all that was going on. Bastard! He set this up. He brought Lisa here to try and ruin my relationship with Mel. If the fool thinks that I’m gonna make it that easy for him, he’s got another thing coming. Like I said before, I’m never letting this girl go. She’s mine!

“Max, I should have known that you would try something like this. Sorry to disappoint you buddy, but you’re gonna have to try harder.”

Max’s look was dumbfounded.

“I don’t know what you’re talking about bro. I ran into Lisa, she said she hadn’t seen you in a while, so I thought I’d bring her alone so you too could catch up. There was nothing more to it.”

Nothing more to it! Really? This fool expect me to believe that he didn’t bring my ex-girlfriend to meet my crazy current girlfriend. I don’t think so. I turn to hear Lisa saying something and from the way Melody stiffened, I knew it wasn’t anything good.

“Really?! Her? I left you and you decided to hook up with this Haley Berry wanna be?”

I held Mel tighter in my arms. I know if I let her go for only just a second, she’d be all up on Lisa.

“Bitch, I’ll be Haley Berry any day than Hugh Hefner plaything.”

I tried to hold her back, but she wasn’t having any of it. Melody moved out of my arms and up in Lisa’s face. I could see that for all the bravado Lisa was showing, she was terrified of Mel.

“Mouth up to me one mo time and Imma slap the white right out of you. You got that, Liissa?”

She was so close you’d think they were bout to kiss. I grabbed her hands to pull her back. I think that was the wrong move. I should have just left her because she turned her rage on me. Her eyes were narrowed, teeth clenched and her muscle was moving in her face. She starts walking towards me and with every word she said her voice got higher.

“Is there no end to any of this?! First your mother, then my parents, then your father, now her!! I don’t know if I can take any more of this Richie! What does this say about our relationship if at every turn there’s something blocking our path? Tell me Richie? Are we kidding ourselves, pursuing a relationship that destine to fail?”

Fail! I don’t intend to let our relationship fail because I don’t intend to ever let her go. I’d kidnap her if I have to. She’s mine and only mine!
