Oswaldo’s P.O.V
What the hell! I wake up to see my best friend kissing my girl. If I wasn’t hooked up all these machines I’d kick his ass. Where the hell am I anyway?
“Richie you’re awake, how are you feeling?”
Melody’s sitting by my bed holding my hand. I’m about ask her, why the hell was she kissing my best friend. But my mother came into the room and saw her and all hell break loose.
“What are you doing here? Am I going to have to get security to remove you again? Get out this instance, you… you thing!”
The way my mother spat those words out got to me. I opened my mouth to tell my mother to shut the hell up, but Melody beats me to it.
“Who the hell or you calling a thing!? Look lady, as bad as my mama be, she always told me to respect my elders. But the way I see it is, you have to show respect to gain respect. I don’t wanna be disrespectful to you, but I would lay your Botox ass out, if you call me a thing one mo time.”
Am I bad for thinking that that was the sexiest shit ever? I love her sassy mouth. The look on my mother’s face is epic. She actually looks scared. I could see the doctor standing at the door trying not to laugh. I know she’s my mother and I should probably feel bad or even hurt that Melody spoke to her like that. However, oddly enough I don’t.
My mother can be very insufferable at times. Who am I kidding, the woman is a bitch all the time. It’s like a way of life for her. She thinks she’s better than everyone and everyone’s beneath her. Not a lot of people are willing to stand up to her. And seeing Melody not backing down from her is a major turn on.
What isn’t a turn on through, is the hand Max has on her hip.
“Max I swear to god, if you don’t get your hand off of her I will get up from here and strangle your ass with these wires.”
The entire room got quiet. Max pulled his hand away and Melody stepped closer to me. My mother stood by the door with her fist clenched. Probably working on not disgracing the Richards name.
“Hey green eyes, how are you feeling?”
The smile she has on her face, warms my heart. When she moved my hair out of my face and her hand touched my skin, I sigh.
“I’ll feel a lot better when your lips are on mine.”
She chuckles, and the sound is like soft, sweet music to my ears.
“Are you trying to score some free kisses, white boy?”
I pulled on her hand, bringing her a little closer. “Maybe, is it working?”
She smiles and nod. Her lips touched mine and I felt like I’ve been reunited with something I didn’t know I’ve lost. The entire room was forgotten, as I heard her moan. I want to get closer to her, but this stupid bed and all these damn wires are stopping me. Someone cleared their throat and Melody stiffen. Just like me, the world faded away for her when we kissed.
She slowly got back up and I could see the blush forming in her cheeks. She smiled at me and I returned her smile. Someone moves in my side vision and I turn my head to see a devastated looking Max. The smile slips from my face as I stared down my best friend. I turned back to Melody, the anger evident on my face.
“You’ve got some explaining to do.”
She swallows then nods her head.
“I’m taking you home Oswaldo, we’ll be leaving in a few minutes. So goodbye to your friends.”
