Today was finally the first day of school both maria and miguel was quite nervous they didnt really fit into cliques. They sat at the table eating there cereal not even speaking any words with their mum concerned.

"So are you guys excited for your new school" Carmen asked placing her cereal bowl in the sink.

"Its school nobody ever gets excited to go" Maria joked earning a eyeroll from her twin.

"Well try make friends" Carmen says passing the pair there bags full of essentials they needed.

While walking to school, the two spoke about having a fresh start. Maria promised Miguel she would try gain some confidence and be more social if Miguel watched all the harry potter movies with her again. Once they arrived a teacher asked who they were before giving an entire tour of the school before handing them their timetables.

Maria was mainly looking forward to lunch so she could rant to miguel about how bad school is without been shouted at. The two didnt share alot of lessons together but miguel found that a good thing for his twins social issue.

When it finally reached lunch time, maria couldnt find her brother anywhere searching high and low for her twin. Then a brown haired girl around the same height came up to her.

"Hey I'm Sam are you looking for somebody?" Sam asked sweetly.

"Hi I'm Maria and im actually looking for my brother miguel" Maria replied with a shy smile.

Maria was always awkward when someone spoke to her as she was usually shut off.

"Whats he look like and I'll help find him before i go to my table" Sam said kindly with a friendly smile.

"brown hair and dark eyes and he is wearing a blue shirt with black trousers" Maria explained.

"Is that him over there' Sam asked pointing to miguel sitting with two boys.

"It is thank you sam" Maria said kindly returning a smile.

"No problem hopefully i shall see you around" Sam said before sitting with a group of pretty girls.

Maria headed to Miguel before asking to sit which they all nodded.

"So miguel who are these two" Maria asked smiling at both boys causing them to blush.

"I'm Demetri and thats Eli he's not much of a talker" Demetri said handing his hand to Maria.

"Hello demetri and Eli im not much of a talker either" Maria replied shaking demetri hand but smiling at eli.

Eli seemed to be shy about his mouth a small scar trailing from his nose to lip. Maria still found his handsome though but didnt want to call it a crush yet as its her first day.

However her twin seemed to be admiring someone from afar aswell.

"Pietro who you looking at" Maria asked following his eyes to Sam the girl she was speaking to earlier.

"Sam!!"

"you know her?" All three boys asked at the same time.

"yeah she located me here to find miguel" Maria said confused why its a big deal.

"she knows my name?!" Miguel asked excitedly.

"Yes" Maria said with a small laugh.

"Dude dont torture yourself their the rich girls" Demetri nagged.

"Yasmines looking shes probably making fun of me" Eli said hiding his scar again.

Maria grabbed his hand pulling it away.

"Im sure shes not and your scar is nothing to be embarrassed about" Maria said sweetly rubbing his hand gently.

Migeul looked at his sister proud she was speaking to someone let alone comfort someone. The twins knew each one of them had a crush from day one.

"So who is everyone going as at the dance friday?" Demetri asked playing with his yogurt

"we have to go to that" Maria whined at Miguel.

"Yes we are going Maria, im thinking of spiderman" Miguel shrugged.

"plastic surgeon who fixes lips" Eli said still looking at his hand maria held.

Maria noticed this and couldnt help but smile softly at his behaviour.

"well I'll go as luna lovegood from harry potter" Maria said playing with her fingers.

"you like harry potter maria?" Eli asked shyly.

"shes obsessed with it and crys over dobby everytime" migeul joked pushing his twin gently.

"so does eli" demetri also joked.

Maria and Eli just smiled at each other. It was definitely the start of something between the pair.
