It was finally the day of the tournment and every single student of cobra kai was ready to kick some ass. Miguel was questioning the plan that he and maria had made only a couple of nights before. Once everyone arrived at the arena people were instantly searching for their sensei. Hawk and Aisha were talking scary thoughts but it was always a known fact that he would turn up. Once Johnny did finally show his face they did the cobra kai chant joining the other dojos.

Maria's eyes suddenly met Robby Keenes who trained with the larussos. Maria herself didnt care about dojo wars but she did care about her twin brother and this asshole stole his girl. Maria looked up to her brother to see him already glaring at the boy.

The girl looked around the room to notice her mama and nana at the very top then seeing demetri and moon. It still sucked that moon had to be such a perfect human because all maria wanted to do was blame her for not having eli. Aisha sat beside her blue haired friend seeing she was still wounded.

"maybe if you two didnt have the same hair colour it wouldn't be awkward?!" Aisha shrugged which earnt an eyebrow raise.

"My problem isnt about hair Aisha my problem is I fell in love with a boy who doesn't love me back" Maria shouted earning stares from the other cobras before running out of the changing room just to bump into demetri.

"hey hey hey easy tiger" demetri says calming maria down.

She didnt orginally realise that demetri knew how to calm her down. The amount of time she spent with demetri the two had learnt alot about one another. Demetri knew that Marias favourite avenger was Black Widow and her favourite villian was Killmonger and she simped for Bucky and Loki. Maria knew that Demetris favourite avenger was Iron Man and his favourite villain was Ego and simped for Wanda Maximoff. He knew her favourite song, favourite colour, favourite food and she knew his. It scared maria that she didnt see it before.

"demetri" maria gasped quickly engulfing him in a bone crushing hug.

Maria was use to people to having to slowly sink into the hug but not demetri he instantly held her back.

"whats wrong?" he asked sweetly removing a strand of blue hair.

"the past thats whats wrong" maria answered still not moving from the hug.

"its okay i understand" demetri says calmly stroking her soft curls.

"d how do you always know how to make me feel better?" maria asked wiping tears from her face.

"i guess i pick up on afew things" the brunette smirked.

"thank you" maria says kissing his cheek before returning to the stage with a slight blush on her cheeks.

She stood inbetween her brother and hawk both boys noticing her blush.

"why are you blushing" hawk asked almost irriated that he didnt cause it.

"i was hanging out with demetri" she shrugged giving him a smirk before turning her head to the commentator.

Hawk was surprised that Maria would ever stoop that low to go after his best friend. She knew that he cared about her and now she was replacing him. Then he realised why she was really doing it. To make him jealous.

Fight after fight happened. In the end Migeul Diaz was the new all valley karate champ. Maria wrapped her arm around her twins neck screaming congratulations. Moon and Demetri came running down the steps towards cobra kai to celebrate their success. Maria noticed how moon kissed hawk passionatly and it still broke her heart until she heard demetri and she felt warm.

"congrats" demetri said with a smile.

"thank you but my brother won" maria giggled.

"you still did an amazing job if i must say so myself" demetri smirked seeing he made maria blush.

Maria didn't know why but she had the sudden need to kiss demetri but not because she wanted to make hawk jealous because she wanted to. Demetri quickly picked up on what maria was going to do and also decided to move his head in. The kiss wasnt too long but it was romantic and sweet. Once the two ended that they just smiled at each other. Not realising most cobras had just witnessed that. Miguel was happy for his sister and most cobras were surprised by the two. Hawk felt nothing but jealously burn inside of him. Yes he did decide to date moon but maria didnt even bother to fight for him which soon turned his jealously into anger.

"celebration nachos!" aisha screamed hugging the diaz twins.

"lets go!" the students shouted heading out.

Maria smiled at demetri handing him her hand in which he smiled back lacing his fingers in hers.
