"I'll tell Lucius that you've been hanging around that Weasley boy lately if you don't do as I ask."
That was what damned Alexander Burke whispered into Evelyn's ear as his mission on convincing her to go on a date with him stretched past the one-week mark. Though she acted like she wasn't, Evelyn was absolutely terrified of her father sometime... her mother not so much. The fear of another fight between Fred's Father and her own was the absolute only reason Evelyn said,
"Fine."
-
Evelyn dressed herself nicely as just because she didn't like the asshole doesn't mean she can't look hot on the 'date'. She did decide to get out of the usual date attire just to see how he'd react. She adorned put on a cropped black tank top, landing a bit under her breasts which was matched with a tight black skirt and fishnets, along with a black blazer for the cold. This was matched with heeled boots and then her usual jewelry being her rings and safety pin earrings. Looking in the mirror, she gave a dramatic sigh and groaned as she exited the room.
She walked down to where she and Burke were meant to meet. He was found standing at the door with muggle clothes. Not even nice ones, basic ones. A white t-shirt tucked into black jeans with sneakers. Fucking sneakers. She was wearing heels for this man as he looked like he was going out for drinking with his mates. Men.
The question on how he gotten his grubby hands on the muggle clothes swept through Evelyns mind briefly before the annoyance of being in a range of Burke where she could see his eye bags overcame it. He gazed as Evelyn as she walked toward him, his eyes going to her cleavage so she crossed her arms to cover it.
"You look nice." Evelyn lied through her teeth as Burke stood tall and proud.
"I know." He replied mindlessly. Did he know? Was he fucking as blind as a bat? "Shall we go?"
They walked out of the school then down to Hogsmeade where he led her to The Three Broomsticks, which included a dead silent carriage ride. Bringing her to an empty table, he had her sit before going and getting them both drinks. It was going rather well as Burke went on to basically tell his life story on how life was so difficult being a pureblood in these times.
Boo-fucking-Hoo.
Evelyn decided to not get drink away the pain of simply being there, but that had flown out the window when Burke left the table as soon as she'd went to the bathroom so he could to go sit with a group of girls who were stupidly drunk and stupidly hot. So, Evelyn drank her happy little heart away.
Fred and George were there with Lee Jordan and a few other Gryffindors to just have a bit of fun before classes the next day. Fred was looking around the room bored and spotted Evelyn drinking at a table all alone. If he was a dog, his ears would've perked up.
"Freddie!" Evelyn said happily with a long blink as he sat down beside her, pushing the bottle of Dragon Barrel Brandy away from her reach. "Why are you here?"
"Why are you here?" Fred asked her, ignoring her question. Her head was on the table so he laid his down to look at her straight. "Aren't you supposed to be on a date with Burke? Unless what Angelina said was wrong-"
"No, no, she's perfectly right. And perfectly gorgeous as well. He's over there with those other girls." Evelyn replied, pointing obviously to the boy who had his arms around two girls as another fluttered her eyes at him. She sat up as Fred followed her actions, frowning at the sight. "I don't mind as I don't exactly like him anyways. Only went on the 'date'," She used her fingers for quotations on the forsaken word. "So, he wouldn't tattle to my parents that I'm hanging out with you."
"Oh?" Fred looked rather surprised at the words. His pretty freckled cheeks flushed a prideful pink as he realized she was doing this for him. To keep talking to him. A small smile stretched his face as his eyes crinkled a bit. "Me?"
"Mhm." Evelyn hummed and tried to grab at the bottle but Fred had quickly pulled it farther away, making her whine like a child. "Give it here!"
"No." Fred said firmly and handed it off to a waiter passing by, mumbling to himself "I swear you were just drunk." Evelyn glared at Fred as he smiled at the drunken girl. "What's the face for?" Fred asked and placed a hand onto hers, rubbing his thumb against her skin.
"Wanna know what's awful, Fred?" Evelyn asked Fred, though she'd tell him anyways. He nodded anyways. "My only job is to marry a rich pureblood but I don't want to."
"Really?" Fred acted to be shocked but he knew this fact from the moment he saw the Malfoy's.
"Those boys are assholes." She confessed mindlessly. "They want sex and they want kids to raise to be assholes like them. I want to marry someone who likes me. Not my so called 'title' or whatever. I'd have the kid and they'd sit on their ass while I'd raise them and then they'd go into the kid's life when they need them."
She picked at her fingers as Fred studied everything she said, wanting to memorize it. She was out of breath a bit from her quick ranting before sighing dramatically as she always did. "I just wanna go to bed." She mumbled as she buried her head into her hands, sounding on the verge of tears.
"Let's go then." Fred said softly as Evelyn looked back up at him with glossy eyes. He held out a hand which she took and they stood. Burke saw this and began to walk over but George had quickly walked over, tripping him 'accidently' on his way over to help Fred with Evelyn who was bracing the table as she'd wobble when she stood by herself.
The twins then went on to help the Slytherin to her dorm. Once they reached the common room, they found it wide open and her supposed best friend Maria looking in a mirror, playing with her locks. "Hey!" Fred called out to her as she turned and glared at him. "Can you take her to bed? She's drunk and-"
"No." Maria scoffed, looking the drunk Evelyn up and down like she was a rat scurrying across the floor. "I have a date with a special someone. You do it." Maria shrugged then passed the boys without a glance.
"She's a gem." George muttered as he watched her exit.
They went on to walk up to the girl's dorm's which Fred had memorized the path to since his last visit there. The door was locked which led Fred to shoving it open by throwing himself at it whilst George struggled to keep Evelyn on her feet. E0velyn drunkenly giggled at the sight as Fred picked her up, her arms around his neck and legs around his waist.
"Where are we?" She whispered into his ear making Fred shudder. He tightened his grip around her a bit.
"Your dorm." He answered in the same whisper as she nodded against his skin. He laid her down on the bed as George helped tuck her in. She whined slightly before she was overcome with warmth from the blanket. Fred pushed her hair out of her face, sitting on the edge of the bed as George smirked at him knowingly.
"Thought you didn't like her?" George reminded Fred minutes later as they walked out of the Slytherin dungeons and back to their own dorm as curfew reached closer and closer. Fred didn't respond but his pink cheeks and his refusal to look his brother in the eyes said it all.
