The pretty blonde Malfoy was sat on a window sill with her legs crossed and a book sat in her lap while her short hair began to fall from behind her ear. Her body blocked the afternoon before she leant back against a cushion. Fred turned the corner as he had nothing much to do on Sunday's. George and Lee were off playing Quidditch but Fred oddly wasn't in the mood and skipped the offer. His brown eyes looked up from his feet and saw Evelyn Malfoy sitting calmly as she read silently. A grin appeared on his face and he walked over and silently crouched down beside her to see the book.

"Poems?" Fred questioned in a low voice making Evelyn flinch in surprise and turn to him as he was already looking at her. "I didn't know you liked poetry."

"Oh I don't." Evelyn told him with a chuckle as Fred stood up and leant against the wall. "I couldn't find anything interesting so I picked this out."

"Any reason for that decision?" Fred continued as he took the book from her hands and flipped through the pages making a slight breeze.

"Narcissa used to read one to me each night instead of a bedtime fairytale." Evelyn explained before snatching the book from his grip and closing it. "Just wanted a nostalgic feeling I suppose."

Fred hummed and sat down beside Evelyn, forcing her legs to dangle off the seating as he scooted beside her.

"I like your look." Fred told her flatly. "It's very, you." He saw Evelyn raise a confused eyebrow and continued. "I mean your hair and how you dress and such. Your style may be a better word than 'look'."

"Well then Fred Weasley I despise your 'look'." Evelyn raised her hands and put quotations around look making Fred in response hit her hands down.

"Before I forget," Fred raised a finger to Evelyn making her wait as he dug into his pocket before pulling out the ring he'd given her which felt like it had been years ago. "Here you go."

Evelyn took the ring with a gasp from her lips which were quirked into a smile. She happily slid it back onto her finger and admired it for a moment while Fred admired the small wisps of her blonde hair.

"Why do you wear it everyday?" Fred questioned curiously as a light blush rose onto Evelyn's cheeks.

"It's pretty is all." She answered in a lower tone that seemed so, pure.

"So are you." Fred watched as Evelyn's eyes widened before she only smiled. She leant back against the stone wall behind her with a small snort.

"Oh please." Evelyn kicked his foot. "The girls at Beauxbatons are much prettier than I am. Everyone was drooling over them when they arrived."

"They can only pray." Fred flirted making Evelyn shake her head with a smile. "Ah I do have a question. Why do you never play around with the other Hogwarts boys anymore? You had been for years it seemed so the sudden stop is a bit confusing."

"It was only fun for a while." Evelyn told Fred while fiddling around with her rings. "They get, clingy."

"Any, other reason?" Fred fluttered his eyelashes as Evelyn looked up to him making her kick his foot once again but much harder this time as he yelped.

"One other reason." Evelyn whispered as she sat up, their faces much closer than before. "But that's a secret for me, myself and I." Evelyn teased before Fred laughed at how serious the tension had become and leant his head down to rest on her shoulder while Evelyn giggled along with him.

A sweaty Lee Jordan and George Weasley had passed by and reminded the other to tease Fred about it later with smiles across their faces while Alexander Burke was frowning at the sight.
